Interview with Xtine
Xtine is a 23-year old model residing in San Diego, California.
How would you introduce yourself to our readers?
I have been a professional model since 2011. I take the professionalism of my day job as a TV producer and I blend it with each modeling gig. I have a special respect for timeliness and hard work. Born in Phoenix, AZ, currently I am a freelance model in San Diego, Los Angeles, Orange, and Riverside Counties, as well as Dallas, Texas. I have been known to successfully fill the part of any needed character role, from hair shows to any and every kind of fashion or editorial-style shoot. Though I shoot several times a week, I also work full time as a producer at One America News Network. I hate sleep and I love politics and fashion!
When, how and why did you first get involved in the modeling industry?
I began attending random TF shoots in 2009. I did not morph the modeling into a job until I was serious about doing it. Now, it’s an actual career. What so many new folks don’t understand is that true modeling is a form of acting. You can’t just stand there and look pretty for the camera… You’ve got to work, bitch!
What are your personal and professional goals? Where do you see yourself in five to ten years?
I structure my life around my passions. As long as you follow what you love doing — and you work hard enough — you can almost dance through the world of goals with a blindfold. This method has taken me to great places in life.
How often are you modeling and what does it usually consist of?
I model 3 to 5 times a week. Because of my diversity, I can fulfill most, if not all, roles needed. I am 6′. I’m very leggy, and I love to bend and pose. I do art, bodypaint, fashion, glamour, hair and makeup, lingerie and runway modeling.
Please tell us about the best and/or worst experiences you’ve had so far in modeling.
Because I’m cautious, all of my modeling experiences have been positive. This career has also had an unintended effect: I’m now the most confident girl you will ever meet. I’ve also had the pleasure of meeting and networking with some real, genuine artists. I’ve enjoyed mingling with so many great minds.
Have you had anything funny, embarrassing or completely out of the ordinary happen during your modeling career?
My first career is in the media; my second is, obviously, modeling. I have met many photographers who are also in the same field as I. During my time modeling, I’ve come to realize how important reputations are in any career; the world is so small, you can’t afford to be a jerk!
Is there anything you would change about the modeling industry if you could?
There should be more redheads in this industry.
Do you practice any sports and what do you typically eat? Please elaborate on the importance of nutrition and exercise in your life.
I was blessed with an obnoxiously fast metabolism. Though I eat relatively healthy, I have two rules: 1) Don’t diet. 2) Experience, have fun with food. That said, I appreciate my craft beer. Each day I average 1 to 3 beers a day, typically over dinner. I love Thai, Japanese, and Filipino cuisine. I always vie for spicy, seafood, curry, pork… preferably all of the above in one dish! My day of running around begins at 3:30am each day, so, although I do not work out traditionally, I get plenty of activity through being always on the go.
Please share something people don’t know about you.
Before becoming a TV producer, I worked as a producer in conservative talk radio at a couple major stations in Southern California.
Would you change anything about yourself (physical or otherwise) if you could?
I wouldn’t like to change anything about myself, I would only like to become an improved, nicer version of what I am already.
What is the one talent you wish you possessed?
I wish I were musically inclined or talented. If you are, you are greatly blessed.
