Interview with Lady Faide — Model made of Fire

Lady Faide is a 20-year old model residing in Winter Haven, Florida.

How would you introduce yourself to our readers?

I started out in the middle of tourist central; Central Florida, the south but not truly so. My parents were Yankees and I had 3 older and sometimes wiser sisters; that’s where my character comes from. There’s nothing like being relentlessly bullied by at least one of your older sisters at some point in your day.

I love video games; not shooters, because I have terrible aim, Role Play Games are my gem. Really though I enjoy archery and guns, I can shoot both. I adore climbing trees, you can get some spectacular views especially for someone who’s so used to being so close to the ground.

However my mind at all times is preoccupied with animals, photography, writing, and modeling. I am a freelance model, and a part time teller to support my many pet habits.

Lady Faide at the beachWhen, how and why did you first get involved in the modeling industry?

It was a very foggy start, I remember having the desire to model, and then, going to my first “shoot” with a now friend of mine who I had met and talked to online. Between then I know I spent a lot of time how I still do, weeding out fake photographers, men with cameras, boyfriends with limitations, you name it. My first shoot was in March of 2014, my first professional booking wasn’t until December that same year.

I remember Why like my first kiss. The stunning images of the female form. In lingerie, swimwear… nothing… There were some captivating images of art out there, and I wanted to be a part of creating them, and to be the woman in them. I haven’t even made it to an agency yet, but you better believe I’m trying. There isn’t a minute where I’m not thinking of what I can add to my portfolio so someone will notice and remember me.

What are your personal and professional goals? Where do you see yourself in five to ten years?

Personal: I want to run my own club; Not your standard club, one where everyone knows everyone and we’re family, if only for a night. I also would like to see my fiery red hair brightly displayed on one of those Victoria Secret adds; not your standard type of monochrome beauty, but more exotic knock your socks off gorgeous like the lingerie.

Professional: I can’t say it’s much different, who said the two can’t intersect?

How often are you modeling and what does it usually consist of?

I am normally booked every weekend for at least one shoot, sometimes two and on those more frisky weeks, three.

I’ve been contacted for a few movies, video and acting, however it’s mainly photo-shoots all for the purpose of building my portfolio. I do boatloads of Glamour modeling, I am very good at looking good for the camera.

Lady Faide nude on a pink bedPlease tell us about the best and/or worst experiences you’ve had so far in modeling.

Well, I have met some really cool people through doing this, and each shoot is a new experience. I always have fun with my shoots, being strictly professional is no fun. There is always room for both, and this has let me have some of the most unique and memorable experiences.

The worst thing I can say is I’ve had one jealous female walk up to me in the middle of a shoot and start screaming profanities at me for being an ugly you-know-what. This was presumably over the looks I was receiving from her male “friend.” It was rather surprising since I was fully clothed for this shoot.

Have you had anything funny, embarrassing or completely out of the ordinary happen during your modeling career?

Oh goodness, yes. I was in the middle of cutting up and acting a little bit of a fool during one of my outdoor shoots and I was in the middle of mocking the ducks because I thought they were cute.

I was completely beside myself when one of the ducks swam up out of the water, walked up to me and started talking to me. I wanted to take him home with me.

Is there anything you would change about the modeling industry if you could?

The standardized carbon cut out of the perfect image of a woman who’s this tall, this weight, this hair color, and this face and body shape.

I want to see Covergirl and Victoria secret adds with girls who barely make 5 foot and have bright blue hair. I would like to see more models on these billboards and commercials that don’t just turn heads because she’s beautiful, but because she’s unique too.

Lady Faide modeling a leather jacketDo you practice any sports and what do you typically eat? Please elaborate on the importance of nutrition and exercise in your life.

I can’t say I practice sports other than maybe archery. I do love Yoga though, it’s not just healthy for the body, but the mind too. Being healthy isn’t just about your body, it’s about your state of mind too.

I typically eat a lot of vegetables and protein. I love meat, and seasoned and steamed vegetables make any dish. I stay far away from greasy foods, I never eat fast food and I drink about one or two sodas every month.

I exercise on a semi regular basis, I’m not fit, but I do have an exercise regimen set up for 2 or 3 times a week to stay in good shape and I meditate to make sure my mind does the same.

Please share something people don’t know about you.

I suffer from mild to moderate Anxiety and Panic Attacks. I am also a Demisexual.

Would you change anything about yourself?

I can’t say I would change anything about me. I’m happy with who I am, and I’m healthy as I am.

I would definitely change my teeth, get them fixed and maybe I would change my age, just for the sake of being wiser sometimes that and give or take a few tattoos I want but can’t afford. Other than that, I’m happy with myself, but if shape-shifting ever becomes a thing, It would be so cool to be a werewolf.

Are you currently in a relationship? How would you describe your partner?

I am in a relationship. I can definitely describe him as odd. He’s not at all your typical male sometimes, and he defiantly wasn’t the knight in shining armor I was told I was supposed to find. He’s a lot rougher, but at the same time a lot more gentle as well. He’s outgoing, loving, inspiring, and he deeply suffers from Peter Pan Syndrome like I do sometimes, and it’s so cute.

Interview with Emily (Stringing Him Along) — Violinist, Model and Computer Nerd

Emily (Stringing Him Along) is a 25-year old model residing in Orlando, Florida.

How would you introduce yourself to our readers?

My name is Emily Dwyer, and I am a motley crew of artistic personalities. I work full time as a computer geek doing tech support, and teach violin part time at Sam Ash. I’m originally from upstate New York -go Mets!- but moved to Florida when I was pretty wee. I come from a single parent household and admire my mother very much, as she has single-handedly played both the maternal and paternal roles in my life. I attended Stetson University for a double major in Violin Performance and Music Technology. Music is a huge part of my life, as is poetry. I guess one could say I’m a Renaissance Woman with penis envy, but the envy is really only motivated by the lack of gender norms and equality in society. Oh, I also like to make people laugh. Whether or not I succeed is another story.

When, how and why did you first get involved in the modeling industry?

I knew a lot of creepers with cameras -I’m only partially joking-. I also had a lot of artsy friends with big ideas. I think a lot it was motivated by the fact that modeling is a kind of artistic egomania. Art in general is very egotistical. Maybe I’m a legit terrible person and wanted to stare at pictures of myself and go, “Damn, I look good.” I’d like to think I’m not one of those people, though so many models are. If anything, I always felt awkward and needed encouragement to not feel gangly and magoo- and what better place to go for hordes of creepers than Florida? I’m not very good at answering these questions without sounding like an asshole. Musicians are total tools. I suck. But aren’t you intrigued?!

Emily posing on a bedWhat are your personal and professional goals? Where do you see yourself in five to ten years?

Some personal goals of mine are to release a solo album, publish a book of poetry, and own a Pomeranian. I’m probably most seriously about the last goal, since I might or might not be obsessed with fur people. In the future, I see myself continuing to live in the present and not sweating the “could be”s and the “have not”s. How’s that for a douchey answer? I’m just full of them. And wit. And other charming qualities.

How often are you modeling and what does it usually consist of?

I used to model a lot more, but being in a band takes up a good amount of my time on weekends. I also still try to practice my classical repertoire every day to keep my chops polished. I model during daily selfie blowouts, if that counts. But honestly, I’m more into paid gigs after signing with a modeling company and getting my first national commercial recently. I’ll gladly do TFP shoots, but only with professional photographers. I don’t want blown out pixelation, weird shadows, or to look like a basic bitch in any sense. I’m pretty short IRL, so I’ve only done a few runway gigs- I’m more of a studio model. I have been in numerous music videos, which are always a bang. Photogs are usually either completely for or against my tattoos. To me, my body mod choices are tight and tasteful; I don’t get down with the pretension of “you ruined your body” attitudes. Ruined it for what, my chances at having to starve myself for your summer look book? #hatersgonnahate

Please tell us about the best and/or worst experiences you’ve had so far in modeling.

There is a straight laundry list of the worst experiences. I’ve been propositioned flat out, asked to get naked for “test shots”, asked to do “only ten seconds” of porn… recently, some reject started texting me directly about personal things, implying he wanted to ask me out. I told him I wasn’t interested and wanted to keep our exchanges professional and then he called me a psycho. That was pretty cute… not. In terms of the best, the commercial I shot recently was loads of fun. Also working with my friends in the RO Project for Lavola’s album art was a blast. Working with professional, intelligent, creative people makes everything better.

Emily face closeupIs there anything you would change about the modeling industry if you could?

I wish tattoos on women would be accepted and considered beautiful. I’m not sure why this is even still an issue in 2015; but then again, if America can’t even legalize gay marriage in the 21st century, I’d say we’re a little ethically and culturally behind. I also don’t support the inhumane practices of acquiring fur, leather, suede, and anything else directly from an animal which is often prevalent in the fashion industry.

Do you practice any sports and what do you typically eat? Please elaborate on the importance of nutrition and exercise in your life.

I am strictly a vegetarian. I have never liked meat, and I don’t support the meat industry whatsoever. I used to be a pescetarian, but felt hypocritical and cut fish out too. I also don’t drink milk, but substitute soy milk in its place. I am a huge animal rights advocate and could never revert to a meat diet. And yes, I would gladly starve on an island or in a post-apocalyptic society where meat was the only available food source. If it has a heart beat, my heart bleeds… and I gag because mentally, I can’t handle ever eating a creature that was once alive.

Please share something people don’t know about you.

I can eat a bag of cheddar and sour cream Ruffles in one sitting and not gain weight. In fact, it’s pretty hard for me to gain weight in general. Oh, Ruffles are my favorite, and I’m actually eating them as I type this. Is that pretty cool and interesting? I thought it was. Oh, I won a poetry contest once and got to study in Portugal for two weeks. I think my winning poem was a love sonnet to Ruffles. Maaaaaaaybe.

Would you change anything about yourself?

I’m doing a pretty good job about changing the things about me that I wanted to change, like going blonde and getting additional tattoos. There’s no point in adopting a defeatist attitude about personality traits. If I don’t like something about myself, I work on it and come to terms with it so I can be a better person.

Do you have any fears or phobias?

I fear stupid people. Just kidding. I do have a phobia about dealing with not-so-smart, not-so-informed individuals, though. I definitely have a bit of a hang up about germs and being clean. I have an irrational fear of being abandoned. I also despise ants. Like, phobia to the max over ants. I’d rather fart into a microphone on live television than do some stupid Fear Factor shit with ants crawling on me. Seriously.

Interview with Steph Modified — Tattoo artist, Alternative Model

Steph Modified is a 24-year old model residing in Orlando, Florida.

How would you introduce yourself to our readers?

My name is Steph Modified. I was born and raised in New York City. Now living in Orlando, Florida.

Art has always been in my family; I had a strong artistic upbringing with my grandmother’s paintings and my mom’s drawings and as a shy child I used art as a way to express myself, Tattoos were a fascination from an early age and though I never wanted any at the time, I admired the art form. The idea that I can give someone a beautiful piece of art work they will love and cherish for the rest of their life fueled my passion to learn how to tattoo. I started observing and learning some tattoo skills, while getting some of my own along the way. I found an amazing teacher, who helped me develop my tattoo skills. As my skills grew so did my confidence; I came into my own style as a tattoo artist specializing in Traditional, Neo Traditional, New school, Color.

Steph Modified naked with a boaWhen, how and why did you first get involved in the modeling industry?

My mother constantly mentioned how beautiful I was and persuaded me to get into modeling, and I wasn’t drawn to the idea. I couldn’t see myself as a model but after my first test shoot it quickly became a new passion. I started modeling here and there, getting shoots when I could while I was working at two tattoo shops. I’ve modeled for many Fashion shows, Photoshoots, magazines, even a few music videos and as an extra on various t.v series. I try to book any modeling gigs on my days off from tattooing so I am constantly working. My passion and professionalism in both my modeling and tattooing along with my artistic and creative nature has gained me recognition, growing portfolios and so many great experiences.

What are your personal and professional goals? Where do you see yourself in five to ten years?

I have accomplished many of my goals on my journey. I just want to live a healthy and happy life. Eventually getting the chance to travel as well as opening up my personal studio.

How often are you modeling and what does it usually consist of?

I recently took a long break from modeling since I have been focusing more on my art work and tattoo work. I am now starting to book photo shoots, events and others again. I’m very excited to get back into the flow of things and getting all dolled up.

Please tell us about the best and/or worst experiences you’ve had so far in modeling.

I’ve had the privilege of working with some amazing photographers and designers! One of my best experiences was walking for Dawnamatrix Designs at the New York City Rubber Ball. Having the opportunity to wear some amazing latex outfits as well as working alongside some beautiful and world renowned models was very exciting and rewarding experience.

Have you had anything funny, embarrassing or completely out of the ordinary happen during your modeling career?

I’ve had some funny moments during my modeling career. For one let’s just say heels and a bumpy runway do not mix.

Steph Modified modeling black lingerieIs there anything you would change about the modeling industry if you could?

Yes, discrimination. I have lost many gigs due to my appearance, not just my tattoos or piercings but due to my skin complexion. It’s shocking to see this is still an issue this day and age. I understand each designer or photographer has their own vision to execute their idea but to hear “you would have been perfect if you were white”. That huts extremely and no one should be treated that way.

Do you practice any sports and what do you typically eat? Please elaborate on the importance of nutrition and exercise in your life.

I was really into sports at a young age but with my job I don’t have much time for it now. I try to keep a healthy diet but I really love pizza. It is hard for me to keep a consistent schedule when it comes to working out. I try to make it to the gym every chance I get. I am now going to try and focus more on doing some work outs at home. Maybe even setting up a small personal gym at home

Please share something people don’t know about you.

I’m a big reptile enthusiast. I own many snakes and lizards. When I tell people I own snakes they think maybe one or two. I actually own over 13 snakes from ball pythons to various boas.

I am also into body suspensions. Back when I was living in New York I had the pleasure of getting suspended. It was honestly something I wanted to try once. It was one more thing to cross off my bucket list. After I got suspended from my back I got addicted and continue to suspend till this day. One of the most amazing experiences I’ve ever had. It’s hard to put into words how I felt while I was hanging from my flesh few feet off the ground but it will be something I will never forget.

Would you change anything about yourself?

Honestly I would want a flat tummy. It has always been a difficult area for me to work out. I am fairly slim but that area is what I’m trying to focus on now with my diet and exercise.

Are you currently in a relationship? How would you describe your partner?

Yes I am. I have the pleasure of sharing my life with an amazing man. Who is always there for me no matter what, extremely supportive and is an artist himself. He has been tattooing for over 11 years now and I have learned so much from him when it come to art and love. We’ve been together and working together for over 4 years. I am very blessed to have met him when I did.

Interview with Allie Sparks — Superstar in the Making

Allie Sparks is a 22-year old model residing in Tampa, Florida.

How would you introduce yourself to our readers?

I was born in Las Vegas where I began training for a life on stage. At age 2, I began doing competitive gymnastics, ballet, tap, hip hop, and jazz, and then at age 12 I moved to Florida. I continued with my dancing, and I also joined an allstar cheerleading team. In high school I joined the drama club which introduced me to a new love for acting. I began taking acting classes and since then I have done movies, commercials, music videos, and more. After high school, I discovered a new kind of entertainment which brought out my biggest passion. I started gogo dancing for different clubs, and now I perform for the biggest festivals in the world such as EDC Vegas and Ultra Miami. I recently took entertaining to the next level, and now I am training in fire eating, contortion, and aerial silk. My biggest interest is to inspire and entertain others. I like to make life interesting for people and show them life shouldn’t be so serious. The world is our playground… let’s have fun!

Allie Sparks modeling a black dress and a crucifixWhen, how and why did you first get involved in the modeling industry?

When America’s Next Top Model first aired, I knew that modeling was my dream. Watching the show was like watching online lectures. It was my guide to becoming the best model I can be. I remember when I was 12, my mom took my first modeling photos. Being a minor and in school, it made it difficult to pursue modeling, but once I graduated I began chasing that dream. I met different photographers who helped me build my portfolio, and once that portfolio was built I began searching for paid modeling jobs. Modeling is something I’m a natural at which has made it easy to become successful with. I have been published in magazines and websites, walked the runway, and I am now represented by several different agencies. I enjoy modeling because I am an art fanatic, and modeling to me is a special kind of art. I like that I get to be creative and portray a different personality through photos.

What are your personal and professional goals? Where do you see yourself in five to ten years?

I have so many goals it’s crazy. My personal goals include me traveling the world and becoming a reiki master so I can heal others. As for my professional goals, I want to become the world’s next superstar. I am currently taking vocal classes and working with my boyfriend who is a producer. I want to release albums, go on tour, have the coolest music videos, and bring a stage presence that no one has seen before. I also want to be seen in theaters, be featured in the most popular magazines, and have my very own show in Vegas. Once my life slows down, I’d like to run my own entertainment company and be a modeling coach.

How often are you modeling and what does it usually consist of?

I am constantly modeling; I do 3 to 4 photoshoots or more every month. I shoot a lot of fashion, glamour, and commercial. I used to do a lot of implieds, but not so much anymore because I want to maintain an image that younger girls can look up to. I have also been doing a lot more runway shows which I never thought would be possible since my height does not meet industry standards. I have done 3 runway shows in the past month, and one of them was for the biggest company I have ever worked for, Adidas.

Allie Sparks nude covered in chocolatePlease tell us about the best and/or worst experiences you’ve had so far in modeling.

My best experiences with modeling so far was walking the runway for a local show called Cocktails x Couture. It was exactly what you’d see in America’s Next Top Model. The runway was the biggest one I’ve ever walked on and it had so many bright lights. It was a packed venue with important people everywhere, there was entertainment, and a DJ playing the grooviest deep house music which made me feel like I was in New York. The event inspired me to work even harder with modeling so I could model for events like that more often. I have not yet had any bad experiences with modeling, but I have had an uncomfortable experience. I was a live statue model for an artist at Art Basel in Miami, and we had to be completely nude and covered in clay. I didn’t mind the nude part as I had a mask on, but being covered in clay for 8 hours was not pleasant!

Is there anything you would change about the modeling industry if you could?

I’d like to change the height requirement for modeling. With photo shoots, there are different poses and angles to make you look tall. With runway, there are heels to make you look tall. There at least needs to be more agencies that have a petite division.

Do you practice any sports and what do you typically eat? Please elaborate on the importance of nutrition and exercise in your life.

I am a big health fanatic, and it’s not just because I’m a model! Living a healthy lifestyle is very important to me because I enjoy having a lot of energy and looking great, I want to live a long life, and I want to be free from illnesses and diseases. I became a vegan 2 years ago meaning that I don’t eat meat or anything produced from animals. The more I learn about what’s in our food, the more I try to stay away from restaurants and processed foods. I eat a lot of fruits and vegetables, tofu, nuts, and grains. Once I turn 30, I plan on going on a strict raw diet where I will eat nothing but uncooked fruits and vegetables. My exercise mostly comes from my circus training, and I also do mini work outs and cardio at home, along with daily yoga.

Allie Sparks face closeupWould you change anything about yourself?

I wouldn’t change any of my physical features because I’d rather love everything about myself rather than feel any hate toward myself. I would like to change how insecure I can sometimes get. I am always worried about certain things I say or how I look, but everyday I work on changing this about myself. I shouldn’t care about what people think, but it is such a cruel world that sometimes it’s hard not to. That is something I am working on changing with this society. I am constantly spreading positivity to others and bringing them joy. Humans are not born cruel, they are trained to be cruel. I want to teach people to break away from what social media brainwashes us with and to have a free mind.

Where is the weirdest place you’ve ever peed?

When I get drunk, I could care less where I pee. If there’s not a bathroom in sight, I’m peeing where I want. The strangest place I have ever peed was in an elevator. It was the elevator for the parking garage, and it had windows. The parking garage is on a street of clubs, so everyone was able to see me peeing in the elevator.

Interview with Brittany Alexander — The Brunette CountryGirl Barbie “Model”

Brittany Alexander is a 20-year old model residing in Ocala, Florida.

How would you introduce yourself to our readers?

Hey there everyone! My name’s Brittany but everyone calls me Britt for short. I’m a country girl at heart born and raised in the sunshine state of Florida! I live in a town called Ocala but I was born in Orlando. I am the youngest of two which makes me 20 years old. I have an older sister who is 23 and an older brother who is 27. I love anything outdoors including camping, kayaking, hiking, and my all time favorite the beach! It seems to be my home away from home. I also enjoy spending time with my family or just staying inside watching one of my favorite horror films. I’m a very friendly, outgoing, sweet girl that loves to meet new people!

Brittany Alexander wearing boots and jeans at the countrysideWhen, how and why did you first get involved in the modeling industry?

Ever since I was a little girl I’ve always enjoyed getting in front of the camera. Between dressing up and striking poses I just seemed to love it all! When I started middle school a lot of my friends and family would always tell me I should try to get in the modeling industry. Once I reached high school I figured I’d give it a shot. At 16 years old I attended a modeling and acting school in Orlando, FL. It taught me so much from posing, to runway walk, to so much more. I started making accounts on different modeling sites to gain exposure. I then got with a modeling scout in Orlando which gained me even more exposure. From then on out I get modeling jobs with photographers every once in a while and it really builds up my portfolio up. I currently am not signed with any agency due to my height. It is extremely hard to get into the modeling business but I will never give up on what I love!

What are your personal and professional goals? Where do you see yourself in five to ten years?

Some of my personal goals would be to marry my soulmate, have two children preferably a boy and a girl, live in the beautiful country side of North Carolina while having an amazing career. Five or ten years from now I see myself hopefully further in the modeling industry, being able to travel the world and overall just living a happy lifestyle!

How often are you modeling and what does it usually consist of?

Overall I have been modeling for about four years now. I have never done any runway shows or video and acting yet. I have done a lot of photo shoots throughout the years including: bathing suit, fashion, non-nude lingerie, car shoots, sports, casual and glamour.

Please tell us about the best and/or worst experiences you’ve had so far in modeling.

All the experiences I’ve had so far with modeling have been great! I have never came across any bad experience… yet! I always make sure to have rules before going to a shoot, that’s why I know I’ll always be safe and what not. It’s always good to be extra safe than not safe at all.

Brittany Alexander coming out of a poolHave you had anything funny, embarrassing or completely out of the ordinary happen during your modeling career?

I always make sure I have fun at my photo shoots, that way I don’t seem so uncomfortable. So far nothing embarrassing has happened to me. Lots of photographers I work with have a positive attitude which makes it more fun as well which is always a plus!

Is there anything you would change about the modeling industry if you could?

As much as I love the modeling industry there is one big thing in my opinion that I would change which it being the height requirements. Lots of agencies will only take girls who are 5’9” and above. I just think that should be changed because every woman is beautiful in their own way no matter if they are tall or short. If they have what it takes to become a model for an agency I just don’t think it should be based on height. I am 5’4” and it is so hard for me to find a legit agency due to this rule.

Do you practice any sports and what do you typically eat? Please elaborate on the importance of nutrition and exercise in your life.

I have always been a petite girl ever since I was little. I used to have such a bad time gaining weight. I would stay at the same weight for years. Now that I have gotten older I am gaining some weight, which makes me 100 lbs. I don’t workout much but if I do decide to, I make sure to get my sit-ups in for the day and a good mile run. As in nutrition I make sure to eat lots of vegetables and I also make sure to take a vitamin each day.

Would you change anything about yourself?

I would definitely never change anything about myself. God made me the person I am today for a reason. I am who I am and I love the woman I have become.

What is your favorite thing to do alone?

One thing I love to do alone is kick back and listen to some good country music! It really does sooth my mind and it relaxes me so much!

Interview with Amy Fantasea — Cosplayer, Model and Mermaid

Amy Fantasea is a 22-year old model residing in Sarasota, Florida.

How would you introduce yourself to our readers?

Born in Panama City FL, raised in the rain forests of Puerto Rico. My family is all in Puerto Rico, I lived there for 13 years and decided I wanted to explore The U.S, so I moved back to Florida 3 years ago with only 2 bags, $300.00 in my pocket and a heart full of dreams. Today I live in Portland Oregon and I’m beginning my bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, I have a wonderful boyfriend, 2 beautiful cats, and a bright future.

My hobbies will hopefully become my career and that includes making swimable mermaid tails, cosplaying, modeling and photography.

When, how and why did you first get involved in the modeling industry?

I started Cosplaying in Puerto Rico when I was 15, I’ve always loved fantasy, video games and Japanese Pop Culture, so I fell in love with cosplay instantly.

I had a knack for making all my costumes and props by hand, with whatever I could use. I taught myself how to sew, do makeup, work with plastics and wigs. I began to draw a lot of attention because of my dedication to the characters I would portray and slowly began working with various photographers. When I turned 18 I tried nude modeling, alternative arts and body paint, my portfolio began to grow and so did my job opportunities. Today more than 50% of my income comes from nudes and cosplay modeling and I couldn’t be happier!

Amy Fantasea modeling a kos-mos costumeWhat are your personal and professional goals? Where do you see yourself in five to ten years?

I want to finish my degree in Fashion Design and Bushiness so I can have the necessary tools to begin my own costuming and alternative clothing company. If that’s successful, then I would love to have my own studio where I can give costume making workshops, modeling, makeup and photography classes for teens who are looking for artistic ventilation and direction. It’s something I wish I could have had when I was young and I know there are tons of young people out there who are very interested in these art forms but don’t know where to look for learning.

How often are you modeling and what does it usually consist of?

I model at least 2 to 4 times a week, I manage my own hours, rates, who I choose to work with and most of the time I do my own wardrobe, makeup, hair.

Most of my shoots are artistic nudes, body painting, figure modeling, alternative, cosplay and my favorite, underwater.

When I’m not modeling I’m working at a retail store or selling my mermaid tails online.

Please tell us about the best and/or worst experiences you’ve had so far in modeling.

I don’t really have very many bad experiences when it comes to modeling, I’ve been very wise with who I work with and I usually bring my boyfriend who is also my bodyguard… hahaha.

I can say that my worst was probably during a nude shoot, the photographer was still a rookie, pretty young and single. He awkwardly began getting a boner while we were shooting. I asked him if he needed to take a breather, he was pretty embarrassed.

Best experiences are definitely when I put on my mermaid tails for an underwater shoot. I make my own swimable mermaid tails by hand and underwater photography is just an art form of its own. Together it creates some very beautiful photos and nothing is ever the same once you try it.

Amy Fantasea face closeupHave you had anything funny, embarrassing or completely out of the ordinary happen during your modeling career?

Once when I was shooting at a coastal reef in Puerto Rico, I had one of my mermaid tails on, it was a perfect day, water was crystal clear. I don’t use a mask or goggles when I do underwater sets so my vision is pretty blurry, I suddenly see a large dark blob come towards me. I of course freak out a bit, this thing was at least 7 to 8 feet long, so I climb onto the reef and rip my tail a bit in the process. It turned out to be a manatee coming up to say hi…

Is there anything you would change about the modeling industry if you could?

Yes, discrimination. The human body is a beautiful work of art, no matter how big or small you are, old or young. I have met some amazing people during my journey and some that make me want to gag. And what has bothered me the most is that the closer you get to a modeling agency or to fashion modeling, the closer you get to some legitimately disgusting people. I’ve had the opportunity to do runway a few times and I was always the shortest one there -I’m 5’7- and the only “curvy girl”. The agency admins would always poke fun at all the girls, and all the girls would in return get very nasty with each other regarding weight, height, and even ethnicity. I decided that the nude modeling world was a much more realistic place, and it has been.

Do you practice any sports and what do you typically eat? Please elaborate on the importance of nutrition and exercise in your life.

Nutrition has always been very important to me, my mother is a nutritionist and practices natural medicine. I eat a lot of dark green vegetables, spinach, kale, chard, lots of nuts, beans, root vegetables. Good quality lean red meat, turkey and fish. I don’t drink soda, don’t eat dairy and I hardly eat sweets or bread. I love wine and good dark chocolates and occasionally I’ll indulge in some good sheep’s milk cheeses. I also take classical ballet and have been doing yoga since I was 10.

Amy Fantasea modeling a pokemon bikiniPlease share something people don’t know about you.

I am obsessed with looking different, not for others, but for myself. I get terribly bored easily so I’m constantly changing my hair color, I change it at least once a month to purples, blue, teal, pink, pastels, red and all over again! I also own over 20+ pairs of colored contact lenses, I’m a bit obsessed.

Would you change anything about yourself?

Yes, I wish I was better with money! Slowly I’m learning how to manage it, but it’s still one of my weakest traits. I also wish I was happier, I’m never content with what I have and always want a better version of it. It does fuel my goals, since I’m never satisfied with my work or with myself, I’m constantly improving. But, I just hope I’ll someday get to the top of my mountain and finally be happy and content with everything that I have accomplished.

Are you currently in a relationship? How would you describe your partner?

My partner is exactly that, my partner. He is my rock, my protector, my support, my accountant, my cheerleader and the one who always brings me back down to earth when my head is too far up in the clouds.

I’m very fortunate to have him, he’s very supportive of my modeling and career path, he even participates in my shoots sometimes! We have been together for almost 3 years and it feels like we have known each other for a lifetime. We are extremely cheesy…

Interview with Lauren Poole — Full-time freelance model

Lauren Poole is a 22-year old model residing in Pembroke Pines, Florida.

How would you introduce yourself to our readers?

Born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, I moved to south Florida when I turned eighteen years old with the hope of pursuing a career in the talent industry. Since making the move back in 2010, many things have happened which have all made me the strong person I am today.

There have been losses – my brother passed away on May 16, 2011 because he couldn’t see the point in living: I found his dead body upstairs after visiting my grandmother- , triumphs – overcoming such a burden, battling working as a freelancer and making it in small magazine publications, and working practically full-time as a brand ambassador, promotional model, and model-, and endless days and nights of wondering how to prove to the world that I am that girl who knows exactly what she’s doing and deserves the chance to prove herself to top clients.

Lauren Poole modeling a white dressThe talent industry is what I live for, so I consider that to be my hobby. Whether it’s spending countless hours trying to market myself, find work at some event, set up photo shoots, work as an extra, brand ambassador, promotional model, model, or whatever — that is practically my life 24/7. The perks of working at big events such as auto shows, boat shows, golf tournaments, festivals, shoots, sets and productions, and other kinds of events is that I am able to speak to many original people in the world; people I would have never been able to meet if I wasn’t doing the jobs that I do now. I love being so social. One reason is because you can learn a lot from other people, hear their stories, feel their pain or happiness, and it leaves me with such great feelings in the end. When I do have some time off because it’s a slow season or what not, I like to be outdoors and participate in such activities such as gardening, taking long walks, bicycling, and exploring hidden areas of south Florida.

When, how and why did you first get involved in the modeling industry?

I first grew an interest in acting and modeling when I was twelve years old. I have always been a bit of a drama queen, so I figured acting would suit me well. I took some acting and modeling classes. While attending, I realized that I may actually have more of an interest in modeling than acting. I started to focus more on setting up photo shoots. Now, I am open to both acting and modeling.

What are your personal and professional goals? Where do you see yourself in five to ten years?

My goal is to find an agent or manager who will seriously try to help me make it in the talent industry. There are so many people, strangers even, who tell me I have what it takes. I may have what it takes, but ultimately it’s all about connections and knowing the right people.

I am visiting Los Angeles in August of this year. The reason is because Los Angeles has bigger productions going on than south Florida. I feel that my opportunity may be greater over there. If things turn out well, that’s where I see myself moving to.

Lauren Poole wearing nerdy glasses eating appleHow often are you modeling and what does it usually consist of?

Unfortunately, modeling does not come around as often as I would like for it to. Some months, I may set up to two or three shoots which is probably the average. I have everything from avant-garde, high fashion, beauty, swimwear, commercial, hair modeling, jewelry, and maybe a few other looks. I have also been involved in a few video tutorials.

Please tell us about the best and/or worst experiences you’ve had so far in modeling.

I have had some great opportunities with modeling in south Florida. I met a spectacular male photographer who gave me a shot at proving petite models can shoot high fashion. We have been published in a few magazines so far and have worked together close to a dozen times in one year. We work together so well, and I am so thankful to have met him.

I haven’t come across any horrific experiences yet fortunately. The only downfalls I have had are usual ones such as shooting with a few photographers and never receiving the images back.

Have you had anything funny, embarrassing or completely out of the ordinary happen during your modeling career?

Oh, wow. Working with my stellar high fashion and avant-garde photographer, there’s always something funny going on. The first shoot we ever did together, I should have known things would only become crazier from then on. He has put me in size stilt like heels, loves to put me in the water, put things on me as clothing that weren’t really clothes -i.e. paint swatch dress creations, simple jumbo clothes, a lamp shade, among others-, and put every color wig on my head you can think of. It’s always a blast, and it seems like I make him laugh somehow at every photo shoot because of the crazy faces I make sometimes while in the zone trying to shoot.

Lauren Poole face closeupIs there anything you would change about the modeling industry if you could?

Yes! I do not believe that it’s right for models who are 5’8″+ to have it made while if you’re under 5’6″, you have the biggest struggle. Of course, I understand that one reason for this is because the clothes are made to fit models who are 5’8″ and have perfect measurements. To me, that is living in an unrealistic world. Models like myself are not treated fairly or shown enough support. I have the longest eyelashes you could ever imagine, porcelain skin, and big, mesmerizing eyes. The world may never know this though because agencies and clients do not give me a fair chance.

Please, look at true beauty for what it’s really worth. Don’t try to determine beauty by numbers and height. Those things don’t mean anything to me personally.

Do you practice any sports and what do you typically eat? Please elaborate on the importance of nutrition and exercise in your life.

I have rejoined the gym. I now go there at least four days a week. While I’m there, I like to work every muscle in my body – head to toe. I use just about all the machines available to make sure I have strong muscles everywhere. It’s also important to increase your heart rate which is why I use the step climber or elliptical machine. Generally, I spend about one hour at the gym to receive a sufficient workout.

As for eating, I became a gluten free dieter back in January 2013. Since then, I have only experienced this type of eating habit. I love it because I feel like I have more energy, less full, and happier overall. I have learned about several new foods which I probably would have never known about if I didn’t make the switch. I now try to make sure I am consuming enough key nutrients such as protein intake, iron, calcium, magnesium, potassium, and so on.

Please share something people don’t know about you.

Some people who don’t know me extremely well may not realize that I like to over analyze things. I like to dig deep into people’s thoughts and life. I like to learn new things on a daily basis. I’m a perfectionist. I try to see the best in people. I don’t judge anyone because each person is unique. I like to treat everyone fairly. You could say that I’m somewhat of a hippie with the information provided. Just about every new person I meet tells me I am very interesting. The reason is probably because I am nowhere close to being like your typical twenty something year old. I live life in an unusual way and that’s what keeps the world guessing about me.

Lauren Poole stucked in a bathWould you change anything about yourself?

I wouldn’t change anything about myself. Here’s why:

Tragedies happen. Life happens. Decisions are made left, right, and spur of the moment. While I have made sour decisions in the past, I don’t have any regrets because everything that has happened plays a part in the person I am today. Accidents happen that you have no control over. You can’t “change” that accident. It just happened. Maybe you were the cause of the accident, or someone else was. Either way, it happened. You must take everything life throws at you and choose how to handle it. It’s easy to become overwhelmed instead of thinking logically. In the end though, it’s important to learn to accept yourself and live life as if you are the only person who matters. That may sound like having a big ego, but I don’t mean it like that. We underestimate ourselves. We don’t give ourselves enough credit. We’re constantly patting other people on the back and sometimes we forget to pat our own self on the back.

Here’s what you have to remember in the end:

Life is one big joke. You can either choose to laugh about it or cry about it.

In this industry I chose to become involved in, it is super easy to want to shed tears all the time. I have the most awesome friends and family though who are right by my side and love me even though I’m only 5’3″.

With that said, I am going to promise to not change a thing about myself, laugh at life, and continue to fight for right to be a successful model.

If you had only 24 hours left to live, what would you do?

I would spend all of my money someway.

Interview with Cia Lee — Gamer model with 13 pets

Cia Lee is a 24-year old model residing in Coral Springs, Florida.

How would you introduce yourself to our readers?

I am a Middle Eastern and Russian model who has too many pets. I am professionally represented and have walked for Miami Fashion and Swim Week, Art Basel and quite a few others. Aside from modeling I have a stream on Twitch.tv/katsallday where I have a nice fanbase building. I was born in Hollywood FL.

When, how and why did you first get involved in the modeling industry?

I was scouted at age 12 to be a model for a Hawaiian photoshoot. I have been working ever since.

What are your personal and professional goals? Where do you see yourself in five to ten years?

Well, honestly in 5 years I hope to be working full time in my own no kill animal shelter. Matter of fact that’s what I would be doing 10 years from now too. As for modeling in 5 years, hey if they still want me I’m down.

Cia Lee modeling sunglasses in the cityHow often are you modeling and what does it usually consist of?

I’m a runway model mainly, but will do avant garde edgy photoshoots too. I’ve done a couple campaigns for websites and I even hair model. I book about 1 to 2 big runways a month, with over 200 in audience, and 5 to 10 photoshoots.

Please tell us about the best and/or worst experiences you’ve had so far in modeling.

Best experience – Walking Art Basel in Miami, where I wore a rock cast skirt that was impossible to bend your legs in. Two security guards had to lift me up onto the stage. I did my walk, turned around and the guards were gone. I had to jump off the stage in 6 inch heels. The crowd went crazy and I didn’t break my ankle!

Worst experience- I don’t think I have one. Maybe that one time when I twisted my toe back on stage and had to endure the pain forever after while people took pics.

Have you had anything funny, embarrassing or completely out of the ordinary happen during your modeling career?

I walked a bikini show in Miami for a swimwear company. It was at a hotel pool. They chose me to jump into the pool on my return walk. It was on tv. So cool.

Is there anything you would change about the modeling industry if you could?

I think I would like to change the agency fee; 20% is a lot when your pay is more than a few hundred.

Cia Lee wearing jeans in the countrysideDo you practice any sports and what do you typically eat? Please elaborate on the importance of nutrition and exercise in your life.

Ok, this is where I differ from most models. I beat anorexia in my teens and I cannot diet due to it. I eat what I want when I want and I’ve found that my body will stop me before I eat too much. If I want to eat a deep fried twinkie and wash it down with cherry coke I will. I’m lucky to have a body that doesn’t gain weight too easily. I don’t exercise. I have a mild heart condition. Honestly I wake up, eat, play video games, walk the dog, eat, maybe model, maybe play more video games then I eat and sleep. That’s a day in the life of me.

Please share something people don’t know about you.

I have automatonophobia. Im afraid of when robots take over the world. They will.

Would you change anything about yourself?

I would change my heart condition. And my feet are wayyy too small for my height so I’m kinda clumsy; 5’11 and a size 8 shoe.

What superpower do you wish you had? Why?

I wish I could hover. Not even fly. Just hover. I have a DnD 3.5 character named Lee, she has hoverboots. I want to hover like her.

Interview with Jennifer Lynn — “The Skinny Girl Model”

Jennifer Lynn is a 25-year old model residing in New York, New York.

How would you introduce yourself to our readers?

Hey! My name is Jennifer Lynn. I grew up in Doylestown, PA. It’s a cute little town in Bucks County. I have an amazing family. My mom, dad, two brothers, sister-in-law, and my two little nephews who I love all to death! I am a big family person, we all get together on the weekends and party! In the winter time it’s football, fires in the fireplace, and pool table games in the rec room. In the summer it’s baseball, grilling and swimming pool fun! I love both my nephews, Jamison is just a baby but Sean is my crazy, fun little 3 year old buddy. My nephews are the ones I cherish the most when I’m not modeling or doing crazy tattoo adventures.

When, how and why did you first get involved in the modeling industry?

I love the camera, always have. When I was little and my dad would break out the dinosaur size video camera, I had to be the star of the show. I also remember getting my very own camera when I was younger and taking selfies when I was 7! When I turned 14 I begged my mom to let me go to Barbizon School of Modeling. When I was 18, that’s when I got my first tattoo and figured why not do both hobbies in one! I would surf the internet and see these beautiful tattooed models and right away appreciate their beauty. I think everyone is beautiful in their own way and that’s how I wanted to be seen.

Jennifer Lynn wearing a black lingerieWhat are your personal and professional goals? Where do you see yourself in five to ten years?

I have a couple goals I need to meet. With all my goals I always make sure to be happy and healthy. I want to travel the world! Professional goals would be to meet many people in the industry as well as working with them.

How often are you modeling and what does it usually consist of?

My workload is steady right now. I mainly do photoshoots including lingerie, glamour, fashion and nude. I am just getting into traveling and doing tours in other cities and states. I have done TV and video and about to enter the world of feature films!!! I am very excited about that!

Please tell us about the best and/or worst experiences you’ve had so far in modeling.

I have had many experiences during my time as a tattooed model. When I started I didn’t understand the importance of tattoo placement on your body. I also didn’t know how important it was to have good art work on your body as well. When I would get tattoos when I was younger I didn’t pay attention to any of that stuff and now I regret it. I want to be the best that there is. I want the quality of my tattoos to be the same quality as the photos I produce.

Have you had anything funny, embarrassing or completely out of the ordinary happen during your modeling career?

I haven’t had too many embarrassing moments as of yet. I am very awkward in heels so I avoid them at all costs, if I wore them more often it would make for some embarrassing moments.

Is there anything you would change about the modeling industry if you could?

If I could change anything about the modeling industry it would have to be the misconception that models have a glamorous lifestyle. Let me tell you it’s not all lingerie and sunshine.

Jennifer Lynn topless under a violet lightDo you practice any sports and what do you typically eat? Please elaborate on the importance of nutrition and exercise in your life.

Sports… No way! I do like a good game of badminton in the summer time though. I love to eat! I am a skinny girl and I can eat a lot! I eat very well. I’m in love with vegetables and eating organically. I stopped eating fast food probably about 5 years ago and soda about 7 years ago. I try to stay away from red meat sometimes, but I love a good juicy burger! I don’t exercise, I should… but I don’t. I don’t have any diet tips the skinniness just runs in my family.

Please share something people don’t know about you.

There is not much no one knows about me. I have a Q&A that I do on my youtube channel and I am very honest with my fans. Check it out…

Would you change anything about yourself?

Yes, physically I would change my spine!! I mention this to my followers and fans every once in a while. I have scoliosis! It’s terrible I need surgery. It’s getting to the point where it is now affecting my posing in pictures. My back does not arch like most models because of the curvature and I’m in a lot of pain after a photoshoot.

Where is the weirdest place you’ve ever peed?

haha! This may be weird to some girls but I just recently took my first pee outside!! Is that too much…? haha! I was taking a road trip out west to California and there were no bathroom stops. I was around Arizona and I pee’d in the desert next to a huge cactus!!

Interview with Gigi — Dental Assistant Quirky Asian Model

Gigi is a 24-year old model residing in Washington, District of Columbia.

How would you introduce yourself to our readers?

I was born in Baltimore, MD but grew up in a small town named Odenton and was born into a family of 4, of whom I am the youngest. I have 2 older sisters aged 34 and 32, and an older brother aged 26. I grew up singing karaoke with my Father who wanted to be a singer back in Korea but couldn’t continue his dream because my Mother was pregnant with my oldest sister at the time.

I’ve always wanted to be an actress or work in the entertainment industry but was too shy to pursue the career. My hobbies include Karaoke, adventuring out into a town, eating a lot of ice cream with no regrets, watching movies, listening to music, taking pictures, hanging out with my closest friends, skyping with my godson who lives in Alaska, making videos, specially music videos. My interests include music therapy sessions, Pinterest, Fashion, Food, traveling, experiencing life and blogging.

Although my profession is being a Dental Assistant, Model, Singer and Godmom, I am still in the process of finding myself.

Gigi modeling white lingerie upside downWhen, how and why did you first get involved in the modeling industry?

I never dreamed of becoming a model. I had self esteem issues growing up and was never comfortable in my own skin. I was first asked to be the main girl in my best friend’s music video in which I was featured on the track back in 2013. The videographer loved my look and asked me why I hadn’t been in the entertainment industry before. After shooting the music video “All for You” by Maximus Ft Gi I was asked to model in an Ao Dai Fashion Show for the Vietnamese Community. And I guess since then I managed to finally pursue modeling as a hobby to better find myself.

What are your personal and professional goals? Where do you see yourself in five to ten years?

My personal goal? Would be to be married to my best friend and have beautiful children while working in a field that I love. Five to Ten years from now, I’m not entirely sure where I will be nor what I will be doing. But I’m hoping I’ll be in an industry which I love while being married to the love of my life.

How often are you modeling and what does it usually consist of?

I want to model as much as I possibly can but because I work full time as a dental assistant I rarely get the chance to model. But lately, my modeling gigs have been for Fashion related shoots; glamour, fashion, car photo-shoots. I would love to be in videos, such as short films on youtube or vlogs if I were given the chance.

Gigi modeling a purple stripped miniskirtDo you practice any sports and what do you typically eat? Please elaborate on the importance of nutrition and exercise in your life.

I don’t have time to play sports, I used to play football for my church back in high school. I typically eat, whatever I want. I don’t believe in starving myself just to look a certain way.

Nutrition and exercise is crucial to one’s lifestyle, but I would be a hypocrite if I said I solely focus on that. I have a full time job and it leaves me completely exhausted at the end of the day. I try to exercise whenever I have the chance to. Such as doing squats or walking around places, typically downtown places or at malls.

Please share something people don’t know about you.

People don’t know that I can act.

Would you change anything about yourself?

Honestly, I would change my boobs. I’m perfectly content with the rest of my body.

What was the meanest rumor ever spread about you?

The meanest rumor I’ve ever heard about myself would definitely be that I’m a crazy bitch. I am pretty much the nicest chill down to earth person you could ever come across, I would never do anything to hurt someone.
