Interview with Jennifer Lynn — “The Skinny Girl Model”

Jennifer Lynn is a 25-year old model residing in New York, New York.

How would you introduce yourself to our readers?

Hey! My name is Jennifer Lynn. I grew up in Doylestown, PA. It’s a cute little town in Bucks County. I have an amazing family. My mom, dad, two brothers, sister-in-law, and my two little nephews who I love all to death! I am a big family person, we all get together on the weekends and party! In the winter time it’s football, fires in the fireplace, and pool table games in the rec room. In the summer it’s baseball, grilling and swimming pool fun! I love both my nephews, Jamison is just a baby but Sean is my crazy, fun little 3 year old buddy. My nephews are the ones I cherish the most when I’m not modeling or doing crazy tattoo adventures.

When, how and why did you first get involved in the modeling industry?

I love the camera, always have. When I was little and my dad would break out the dinosaur size video camera, I had to be the star of the show. I also remember getting my very own camera when I was younger and taking selfies when I was 7! When I turned 14 I begged my mom to let me go to Barbizon School of Modeling. When I was 18, that’s when I got my first tattoo and figured why not do both hobbies in one! I would surf the internet and see these beautiful tattooed models and right away appreciate their beauty. I think everyone is beautiful in their own way and that’s how I wanted to be seen.

Jennifer Lynn wearing a black lingerieWhat are your personal and professional goals? Where do you see yourself in five to ten years?

I have a couple goals I need to meet. With all my goals I always make sure to be happy and healthy. I want to travel the world! Professional goals would be to meet many people in the industry as well as working with them.

How often are you modeling and what does it usually consist of?

My workload is steady right now. I mainly do photoshoots including lingerie, glamour, fashion and nude. I am just getting into traveling and doing tours in other cities and states. I have done TV and video and about to enter the world of feature films!!! I am very excited about that!

Please tell us about the best and/or worst experiences you’ve had so far in modeling.

I have had many experiences during my time as a tattooed model. When I started I didn’t understand the importance of tattoo placement on your body. I also didn’t know how important it was to have good art work on your body as well. When I would get tattoos when I was younger I didn’t pay attention to any of that stuff and now I regret it. I want to be the best that there is. I want the quality of my tattoos to be the same quality as the photos I produce.

Have you had anything funny, embarrassing or completely out of the ordinary happen during your modeling career?

I haven’t had too many embarrassing moments as of yet. I am very awkward in heels so I avoid them at all costs, if I wore them more often it would make for some embarrassing moments.

Is there anything you would change about the modeling industry if you could?

If I could change anything about the modeling industry it would have to be the misconception that models have a glamorous lifestyle. Let me tell you it’s not all lingerie and sunshine.

Jennifer Lynn topless under a violet lightDo you practice any sports and what do you typically eat? Please elaborate on the importance of nutrition and exercise in your life.

Sports… No way! I do like a good game of badminton in the summer time though. I love to eat! I am a skinny girl and I can eat a lot! I eat very well. I’m in love with vegetables and eating organically. I stopped eating fast food probably about 5 years ago and soda about 7 years ago. I try to stay away from red meat sometimes, but I love a good juicy burger! I don’t exercise, I should… but I don’t. I don’t have any diet tips the skinniness just runs in my family.

Please share something people don’t know about you.

There is not much no one knows about me. I have a Q&A that I do on my youtube channel and I am very honest with my fans. Check it out…

Would you change anything about yourself?

Yes, physically I would change my spine!! I mention this to my followers and fans every once in a while. I have scoliosis! It’s terrible I need surgery. It’s getting to the point where it is now affecting my posing in pictures. My back does not arch like most models because of the curvature and I’m in a lot of pain after a photoshoot.

Where is the weirdest place you’ve ever peed?

haha! This may be weird to some girls but I just recently took my first pee outside!! Is that too much…? haha! I was taking a road trip out west to California and there were no bathroom stops. I was around Arizona and I pee’d in the desert next to a huge cactus!!

Interview with Alana Smith

Alana Smith is a 22-year old model residing in Los Angeles, California.

How would you introduce yourself to our readers?

I love modeling, reading, dancing and having fun. I was born and raised in LA. My current profession is being a full-time model.

When, how and why did you first get involved in the modeling industry?

I first realized I liked modeling when there was this fashion show at my high school, modeling prom dresses. I submitted my pictures, not thinking I was going to get picked for it, but I did! It was all for fun, but then I realized I was good at it I loved it and I could make money from it. It’s a win-win for me!

Alana Smith wearing a swimsuitWhat are your personal and professional goals? Where do you see yourself in five to ten years?

I want to be on the cover -or at least somewhere in- any well-known magazine whether it is a swimsuit, hair, makeup, or fashion magazine. I also want to travel for modeling as well. I haven’t gotten the chance to travel out of state other than Arizona for modeling yet. I really want to get signed to a new modeling agency as well.

How often are you modeling and what does it usually consist of?

I book freelancing jobs at least once a week. Lately it’s been for television, when they need models for a tv show or something, but I also have been booked lately for photo-shoots as well.

Please tell us about the best and/or worst experiences you’ve had so far in modeling.

Best experience was walking the runway for Furne One Amato. His designs are amazing, so expensive and have been worn by huge celebrities, so it was really cool that I had the opportunity to walk for him.

I really don’t believe in having bad experiences, I try to turn all experiences into positive ones.

Have you had anything funny, embarrassing or completely out of the ordinary happen during your modeling career?

When I first started modeling, doing runway shows, I was kind of taken aback seeing all the models rip their clothes off. That kind of startled me at first, but now I do it as well. I figured, my body is beautiful, I have nothing to be ashamed of!

Is there anything you would change about the modeling industry if you could?

I would try to change the lack of diversity in this industry. I feel there should be more races, than just it dominating in one race. I also wish there were more modeling jobs, but take what you can I guess.

Alana Smith holding her hairDo you practice any sports and what do you typically eat? Please elaborate on the importance of nutrition and exercise in your life.

I run a lot, lately have been starting to lift, and I love kickboxing. I eat vegetables and poached chicken or fish. I try to stay away from sugars as well. And I do not ever drink soda, but that is just me.

Please share something people don’t know about you.

I was home schooled up until eighth grade.

Would you change anything about yourself (physical or otherwise) if you could?

I would change my brain if I could. I wish I could make it hold more information, all the secrets of the universe. Sometimes after studying a lot -especially microbiology-, I feel like my brain wants to explode. Haha. I’m done.

Have you ever stolen anything?

I took a penny from my friend’s house when I was little, I felt so bad about it and lost sleep over it, so the next time I went back to her house I put that penny back.

Interview with CC Mason

CC Mason is a 20-year old model residing in Los Angeles, California.

How would you introduce yourself to our readers?

I am a 20 year old singer and songwriter, SAG-AFTRA actress, and model. I grew up in Los Angeles and consider myself a true Valley Girl, down to the fact that I was born in Los Angeles Counties’ San Fernando Valley hospital… I am a first generation daughter of an immigrant on my dads side and some say that I have a slight European accent, but that is mostly because my dad never lost his accent and I have grown up around it.
My passions are science fiction, auto racing, gaming, cosplay and cats. I’ll often go to conventions, like Anime Expo, to show off my cosplay costumes. This year I went as “The Stig” from “Top Gear,” but usually I dress as characters from the anime “Naruto.” I also have a YouTube channel on which I play video games and post vlogs.

When, how and why did you first get involved in the modeling industry?

I got involved in modeling by accident. I had done a couple photo shoots to promote my music and acting and one of the make up artists who I had worked with gave me a call and said that she was working on a look book shoot for some people from Tokyo. The clothes were for a size 0 model and the girl they had was no longer available. They gave me a call and the next day I was in downtown Los Angeles doing the shoot. I got some nice photos and a couple hundred dollars for the four hours work and had a lot of fun!

CC Mason showing her belly in a dark backgroundWhat are your personal and professional goals? Where do you see yourself in five to ten years?

I believe in grabbing every good opportunity that comes my way. I just finished filming a pilot for a major cable tv station where I have a co-starring weekly role and I have been lucky enough to work on a number of top tv shows. In the coming weeks I am recording some of my original songs at Conway Recording Studios in Hollywood. I am also always looking out for new modeling gigs. I intend to keep all of these avenues open and will do that until one aspect takes over all the others. Until then, I will be involved in all of them.

How often are you modeling and what does it usually consist of?

Like every business, the entertainment industry has an ebb and flow, but most weeks I am very busy. I was in two seasons of the television show “Pretty Little Liars” as a mystery character. If you were a viewer, you would see me most weeks but would never have seen my face! We worked a lot of long hours on that set, sometimes 16 or more hours a day, but it was very fun because the cast was very entertaining! I also was the body double in ABC families “Bunheads” for the lead ballerina, and often did many late night and evening shoots with that show. I have done featured roles on a number of shows where I did not know who the actors really were, but when I was on the set of “Vegas”, Dennis Quaid introduced himself to me. I was very star struck. My whole family are fans of his so I was a bit intimidated.

As a model, I have done a lot of look books. It is a good way to get a steady income. It isn’t the kind of thing that will make you the next super model but it builds your portfolio and your credentials.

Music is the one thing that I’m always doing, even if I’m not in the studio or in front of a microphone, I’m always writing and composing. It’s a fun thing to do when I have downtime on set!

Please tell us about the best and/or worst experiences you’ve had so far in modeling.

It isn’t totally uncommon to see the occasional fireworks when you are working in an environment with a number of artistic people. I was on one shoot where the photographer was a maniac but the photos turned out so amazingly that you just have to let the crazy go over your head and roll with it!

I did a shoot in downtown Los Angeles and there was a limited amount of daylight left so we were rushing to get all of the shots. We did not have a dressing room so we were in an alley stripping down to change clothes behind a really stinky dumpster! I thought it was pretty funny but one of the other models was in tears. I’ve even had directors throw things at the cast to get us to move!

CC Mason wearing jeans showing her bellyHave you had anything funny, embarrassing or completely out of the ordinary happen during your modeling career?

I did a photo shoot in a tunnel in downtown Los Angeles, and it absolutely reeked of urine! In some of the shots I was laying against the concrete. I could not wait to get out of those smelly clothes!
Another time I was shooting a music video for my song ‘Inappropriate.” It was filmed by Thomas Kloss, who does most of JLo’s videos as well as videos for Britney Spears and Lady Gaga and a bunch of others, and because of this, he has a lot of celebrity friends, as you can imagine. Anyways, I looked up after a take and Jason Momoa, Kahl Drogo from “Game of Thrones” was standing there. He had stopped by to say hi to Thomas. My mom, who is my manager, said between shots, “Oh there is a nice looking young man there maybe you should talk to him.” Ummm mom no, that is Conan the Barbarian and he is married to Lisa Bonnet.

Is there anything you would change about the modeling industry if you could?

The modeling industry generally does not care about you as an individual. You have to have a strong sense of your self and be confident in who you are and how you look. Constant criticism is something you must learn to take on a daily basis. You are there not to become famous, but to make their product famous. Would I change that? No. It is what it is.

Do you practice any sports and what do you typically eat? Please elaborate on the importance of nutrition and exercise in your life.

I am genetically thin. I am 5’8.5″ and weigh 105 pounds. I eat bacon cheeseburgers, pizza, sushi, salads, pasta and a lot of chocolate. I walk daily but do not have any sort of workout regime. My parents were both the same way and they tell me it is all good until they hit 50. Now they have to work hard to stay trim. But until I’m 50, I’ll stick with pizza and chocolate!

Please share something people don’t know about you.

I am in the NASA archives! When I was in middle school I was the captain of a robotics team that took home a World Championship Award for Excellence. I also play French Horn and saxophone!

Would you change anything about yourself (physical or otherwise) if you could?

No one is perfect but I think I feel pretty comfortable about myself.

What superpower do you wish you had? Why?

Any super power would be a bonus, but if I had to pick one it would be Immortality . I would like to live long enough to see humanity leave the galaxy. That would be cool.
