Interview with Andrea Bella — Published model

Andrea Bella is a 28-year old model residing in Las Vegas, Nevada.

How would you introduce yourself to our readers?

I grew up in the smallish town of Salem, Oregon… not much to do there and I knew at a young age I was gonna get the F out of dodge! I’m one of the few that actually did it and never looked back. I’ve lived all over, Hawaii, The Carribean, Dallas, and mostly I’m a Vegas girl; something about this city always draws me back. I’m super into fitness, and a big time organic advocate, and although us Vegas models get a pretty bad stereotype, I pride myself on being one of the girls out here with their head on straight and focused on my goals. Only up from here, is always my mantra.

When, how and why did you first get involved in the modeling industry?

I did my first shoot when I was 22 and after that got into working in the nightclub scene as a model bottle service girl and model bartender. That distracted me for a couple of years from focusing on furthering my modeling career, and when I got sick of the bar I was at and quit, I kinda just fell into promo modeling on accident by being in the right place at the right time. I’ve been modeling full time now for 3 years and the progress I’ve made in so greatful for! I never thought being 5’4″ I ever would become a published model and here I am. Just shows if you put something out into the universe and work hard, the sky is the limit.

Andrea Bella topless in a busWhat are your personal and professional goals? Where do you see yourself in five to ten years?

My next modeling goal is land a cover or centerfold shoot, who’s isn’t, right? Haha! As far as other goals, I am very entrepreneur minded and I just created my own LLC and want to build my brand! I am getting my real estate license and am excited to get that going and eventually would love to use the capital I make from modeling and real estate to flip homes. I would also love to start some sort of business in the organic industry, as making the earth a better place through sustainable living, is a true passion of mine.

How often are you modeling and what does it usually consist of?

I do more and more photo shoots these days and am always looking for my next published gig. I do a ton of promo model work as well, for trade shows and conventions I am booked as a “booth babe” and I do a ton of liquor model events and atmosphere modeling as well. I do everything from commercial, fashion, art, sports glamour, implied, and artistic nude, as far as photography.

Please tell us about the best and/or worst experiences you’ve had so far in modeling.

Hmm, well my worst experience was when I showed up to a shoot and the photographer had a bottle of wine open for me, and was doing rails of coke on the make up counter. Lmao! I was like “umm no, I’m not trying to get roofied today” and left. My best, was shooting for Oneal Motorcross Apparel, they were a great team to work with, and took such good care of us, and my favorite photographer that I always have a blast with is Michael Dydasco for sure.

Have you had anything funny, embarrassing or completely out of the ordinary happen during your modeling career?

Once I showed up on set of a shoot, and in the first 5 minutes, I locked my keys in my car and my entire make up kit and wardrobe was stuck inside. It was an all day shoot out in the Vegas desert, but luckily the company owner was on set and called triple A for me and convinced them to come unlock it, which took some doing, cause we were way outside city limits in a ghost town.

Andrea Bella modeling short jeansIs there anything you would change about the modeling industry if you could?

I wish girls would stop selling themselves short by taking lower and lower rates. Over the last 3 years I have seen rates with agencies and freelance go lower and lower, and this is because girls will take rates that are half of what they should be, because they think some money is better than no money. it ruins it for all of us in the long run and I wish they would understand that.

Do you practice any sports and what do you typically eat? Please elaborate on the importance of nutrition and exercise in your life.

I eat extremely clean and am a fitness addict. I’m allergic to gluten so that cuts out about half of the bad foods out there, and I eat everything organically and GMO free. My diet consists of a lot of organic, free range, non hormone proteins, and veggies; green smoothies and cage free eggs… oh and I’m a pistachio addict. I’m in the gym everyday, I mix up my routine between hot yoga and Pilates, bootcamp and Crossfit, and am an outdoor runner.

Please share something people don’t know about you.

I’m a licensed cosmetologist in 3 states. Also I have double jointed elbows, and I can make them look really weird when I want to freak someone out.

Would you change anything about yourself?

I would like to be a few inches taller so I could do runway but that’s never gonna happen. In this industry you have to love yourself, flaws and all, and just exude confidence physically and mentally. Not everyone is gonna like your look and that’s okay, because the next person will. You can’t let it affect you or get to your head, I always focus on continuing to grow and evolve as a person in all ways, and be the best version of myself I can be!

What is your favorite thing to do alone?

I have a pretty serious addiction to Netflix. I love to just get in comfy clothes, snuggle up to my pups, and have a binge watching session. You know you have a problem when you are running out of Netflix shows to watch because you have seen them all. Yep, that’s me.

Interview with Kiri Ann Fischer

Kiri Ann Fischer is a 21-year old model residing in Saint Charles, Illinois.

How would you introduce yourself to our readers?

I grew in up in Illinois, I’ve moved twice in my life, but have always called home the Chicagoland suburbs. My family is very tight-knit, and they are the most important thing in the world to me. My hobbies include running, going to the gym, listening to music, going to concerts, spending time with my family and boyfriend, driving, writing, and reading. As far as modeling goes, I would love to continue to branch out and shoot new things, as well as get new viewers and collaborators. Outside of modeling, I do work a full time job and live a pretty normal life.

When, how and why did you first get involved in the modeling industry?

I first got involved in the modeling industry when I was 16 years old, and I immediately fell in love with it. When I was younger, I loved ballet and ice skating and just getting dolled up, in general; It is something that has carried with me throughout my life, and having the outlet to model and express myself in various ways is therapeutic, as well as a huge part of who I am. I started with doing photoshoots with friends who wanted to do photography, as well as establishing a few photographers as my go-to’s, that I would shoot with on a monthly basis. From there, it branched out to collaborating with various talented photographers, makeup artists, wardrobe designers and stylists, and companies.

Kiri Ann Fischer modeling a black mini skirtWhat are your personal and professional goals? Where do you see yourself in five to ten years?

The goal is to keep growing, on a personal and a professional basis, with myself, with my personal goals, as well as with my career and career goals. I will probably model throughout the rest of my life, in some aspect; I want to see new places, shoot with more people, and be a part of many different projects. I would ultimately love to be involved in more pin up and tattoo-oriented magazines, publications, and clothing lines, as it is what I take the most personal interest in, as far as genres go.

How often are you modeling and what does it usually consist of?

It depends on what else is going on in my life at that time, I was modeling about 2 to 3 gigs per week my first year of college, but it had a negative impact on my grades so I began to lay low until summer. After I graduated, I did gigs here and there, but became very selective; now, I typically do one to two gigs, including shoot, audition, and others, per week, and I am looking to increase my work load, as my day job is much more stable and offers more freedom. I love to do it all- runway, promo, pin up, fashion, art, alt, commercial, glamour, beauty, and sports- I do not box myself in at all.

Please tell us about the best and/or worst experiences you’ve had so far in modeling.

The best experiences would include doing Playboy events. They were so much fun, I met a lot of cool people, and even made good friends throughout it. They also spoiled us so generously; runway shows are great because having my family come out and support me is one of the greatest feelings in the world, plus I love the theatrics of it.

The worst experiences would include creepy stuff, like some girls taking my bio or resume and trying to claim it as their own, or someone impersonating me online. Stalking and inappropriate propositioning are on the worst list, as well.

Have you had anything funny, embarrassing or completely out of the ordinary happen during your modeling career?

I’ve gotten some awesome stuff over the years, like a company who offered to create a comic book after me. It was really, really flattering and I have a couple prints of it at home.

Kiri Ann Fischer in a garden wearing jeansIs there anything you would change about the modeling industry if you could?

I would change the negative aspects of it- both interior and exterior, for example, the sickness it could cause from the pressure to achieve a certain image. Beauty standards only exist if you chose to follow them, for me personally, I like who I am and what I stand for too much to allow myself to go down that path anymore. I also wish there was a way to eliminate non-legitimate people in the industry.

Do you practice any sports and what do you typically eat? Please elaborate on the importance of nutrition and exercise in your life.

Yes, I love sports! I workout about 5 days per week: I love to run, and I do a lot of cardio, although I do strength train here and there. Skating, yoga, and any sort physical activity I can possibly pack into my week, I’m always game for. As far as nutrition, I’ve been a vegetarian for eight years and I try to incorporate lots of fresh fruits and vegetables into my day. I drink a lot of water. If I splurge, it’s on pizza or whiskey. Health and wellness is incredibly important to me, as a whole however.

Please share something people don’t know about you.

Some interesting things that people probably do not know about me is that I have generalized anxiety disorder, I want to travel a lot, I’ve probably worked every job you could imagine at some point, and Tim Beidron is my dream tattoo artist, maybe he will see this and hook me up with some nice ink?.

Would you change anything about yourself?

I would not change a thing about who I am, because it has brought me to the point in my life where I am today, and I am very content with that. I am incredibly lucky to be where I am at this point in my life, with the people I have, and all of the beautiful experiences I have. I am extremely thankful for that, and I am more excited for the future now, than I have ever been in my whole life.

What is your favorite thing to do alone?

Exercise, I’m generally pretty introverted so I prefer solo workouts. Other than that, probably sing and nerd out to music in my car.

Interview with Karishma — I am not perfect but I feel perfect

Karishma is a 24-year old model residing in Des Plaines, Illinois.

How would you introduce yourself to our readers?

I was born in Chicago Illinois, moved to Texas for 13 years, and came back to the place I always felt had my heart. My family means the world to me, parents are the only ones that devote as much unconditional love as anyone possibly can and that is the thing I am most grateful for. I am a part time student studying Business as well as working at a hotel on Tuesdays, where I get paid to do homework as well as a Limo driver. I also work as a promotional model and traveling brand ambassador. Traveling is my life and if I get paid to travel, that is perfect. I utilize my time very wisely, trying to make money while doing what I love as well as weaving a safety net, in other words, school.

When, how and why did you first get involved in the modeling industry?

In high school I struggled through bullying, leading to extreme self consciousness and self criticizing thoughts which lead to awkward relationships with people, resulting in the further decomposition of my confidence and my life. Although I was not confident, there was one place I felt confident, and that was in front of the camera.

Although I was told repeatedly I would never be good enough by my peers, I did it, and this persistence is now making me great side income.

Through years of finding who I am, rebuilding my confidence, and realizing that the series of unfortunate events made me stronger as a person and more compassionate towards others, I am who I am today, and I am so thankful for it. Modeling has given me the ability to have a little bit of confidence, which I used and grew throughout my life, helping me succeed in other aspects of my journey in life. I believe confidence is attractive, ego is not.

Karishma next to a water fountainWhat are your personal and professional goals? Where do you see yourself in five to ten years?

My personal goals include being able to sharpen my skill sets to not just work, but to live life how I want while making money to support my love for traveling.
Within the next 5 to ten years I see myself traveling the world, making interpersonal connections, making money and investments to fulfill the first four needs on Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, eventually being able to fulfill that equilibrium in life, complete Self actualization. I am not just trying to be a model, but a role model.

How often are you modeling and what does it usually consist of?

I do modeling whenever my schedule permits and it consists of getting paid to do what I love. I couldn’t ask for more. I do photo shoots, video, working on acting, catwalks -If they allow for models under 5’7- and all sorts of modeling including Art, Editorial, Fashion, Fitness, Glamour, Hair and Makeup, Lifestyle, Parts Modeling, Pinup, Promotional Modeling, Runway, Spokesperson and Host, Sports, Stunt, Underwater.

Please tell us about the best and/or worst experiences you’ve had so far in modeling.

Best: Being able to travel for work as a promotional model as well as being able to work for a good cause -Breast cancer awareness calendar for Harley Davidson for the 3rd year-.
Worst: Creepy and borderline unprofessional photographers when I first started modeling. But I can pretty much weed them out right about now.

Have you had anything funny, embarrassing or completely out of the ordinary happen during your modeling career?

Lots of things. Every gig has a story, not just mine, but the brands as well, which I like learning about when I do model for them. Networking is key.

Karishma modeling a necklace and black blouseIs there anything you would change about the modeling industry if you could?

Yes, I would promote models of all different shapes and sizes and encourage women to love themselves more and not have unrealistic expectations for themselves.

Do you practice any sports and what do you typically eat? Please elaborate on the importance of nutrition and exercise in your life.

I like to work out as well as yoga and meditation. I personally have been very thin all my life naturally and I’ve always wanted to gain weight. But eating healthy and working out the right way according to my body’s goals, which is strength training in my case- I can improve my physical appearance and wellness. The mind, body, and soul is all important to me, resulting in that perfect equilibrium in my life.

Please share something people don’t know about you.

I’m pretty much an open book, I love learning about myself and have people learn from my experiences.

One thing some people may not know is I think very deeply. I used to think it was a curse to think too much and feel so deeply about things. But I take it as a curse and a blessing. With yin there’s yang and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Would you change anything about yourself?

24 and still trying to better myself. 74 and I’ll be doing the same. Accept what you can’t change. But be willing to take constructive criticism to change what you can. Self improvement is the name of the game

Where is the weirdest place you’ve ever peed?

On the rocks… at the beach.

Interview with Brittany Alexander — The Brunette CountryGirl Barbie “Model”

Brittany Alexander is a 20-year old model residing in Ocala, Florida.

How would you introduce yourself to our readers?

Hey there everyone! My name’s Brittany but everyone calls me Britt for short. I’m a country girl at heart born and raised in the sunshine state of Florida! I live in a town called Ocala but I was born in Orlando. I am the youngest of two which makes me 20 years old. I have an older sister who is 23 and an older brother who is 27. I love anything outdoors including camping, kayaking, hiking, and my all time favorite the beach! It seems to be my home away from home. I also enjoy spending time with my family or just staying inside watching one of my favorite horror films. I’m a very friendly, outgoing, sweet girl that loves to meet new people!

Brittany Alexander wearing boots and jeans at the countrysideWhen, how and why did you first get involved in the modeling industry?

Ever since I was a little girl I’ve always enjoyed getting in front of the camera. Between dressing up and striking poses I just seemed to love it all! When I started middle school a lot of my friends and family would always tell me I should try to get in the modeling industry. Once I reached high school I figured I’d give it a shot. At 16 years old I attended a modeling and acting school in Orlando, FL. It taught me so much from posing, to runway walk, to so much more. I started making accounts on different modeling sites to gain exposure. I then got with a modeling scout in Orlando which gained me even more exposure. From then on out I get modeling jobs with photographers every once in a while and it really builds up my portfolio up. I currently am not signed with any agency due to my height. It is extremely hard to get into the modeling business but I will never give up on what I love!

What are your personal and professional goals? Where do you see yourself in five to ten years?

Some of my personal goals would be to marry my soulmate, have two children preferably a boy and a girl, live in the beautiful country side of North Carolina while having an amazing career. Five or ten years from now I see myself hopefully further in the modeling industry, being able to travel the world and overall just living a happy lifestyle!

How often are you modeling and what does it usually consist of?

Overall I have been modeling for about four years now. I have never done any runway shows or video and acting yet. I have done a lot of photo shoots throughout the years including: bathing suit, fashion, non-nude lingerie, car shoots, sports, casual and glamour.

Please tell us about the best and/or worst experiences you’ve had so far in modeling.

All the experiences I’ve had so far with modeling have been great! I have never came across any bad experience… yet! I always make sure to have rules before going to a shoot, that’s why I know I’ll always be safe and what not. It’s always good to be extra safe than not safe at all.

Brittany Alexander coming out of a poolHave you had anything funny, embarrassing or completely out of the ordinary happen during your modeling career?

I always make sure I have fun at my photo shoots, that way I don’t seem so uncomfortable. So far nothing embarrassing has happened to me. Lots of photographers I work with have a positive attitude which makes it more fun as well which is always a plus!

Is there anything you would change about the modeling industry if you could?

As much as I love the modeling industry there is one big thing in my opinion that I would change which it being the height requirements. Lots of agencies will only take girls who are 5’9” and above. I just think that should be changed because every woman is beautiful in their own way no matter if they are tall or short. If they have what it takes to become a model for an agency I just don’t think it should be based on height. I am 5’4” and it is so hard for me to find a legit agency due to this rule.

Do you practice any sports and what do you typically eat? Please elaborate on the importance of nutrition and exercise in your life.

I have always been a petite girl ever since I was little. I used to have such a bad time gaining weight. I would stay at the same weight for years. Now that I have gotten older I am gaining some weight, which makes me 100 lbs. I don’t workout much but if I do decide to, I make sure to get my sit-ups in for the day and a good mile run. As in nutrition I make sure to eat lots of vegetables and I also make sure to take a vitamin each day.

Would you change anything about yourself?

I would definitely never change anything about myself. God made me the person I am today for a reason. I am who I am and I love the woman I have become.

What is your favorite thing to do alone?

One thing I love to do alone is kick back and listen to some good country music! It really does sooth my mind and it relaxes me so much!

Please tell us about the best and/or worst experiences you’ve had so far in modeling.

My worst experience in the modeling industry would have to be facing racism. Being an African American girl with an Afro can make things a little difficult. Models are like an assembly line, when your use to how things run, you’re fine, but when one odd, unseen model comes into place, your Casted to show there’s no discrimination but from then on out you’re dealing with non direct comments. My best experience as a model is landing over 6 magazines and being featured in videos. I’ve landed vogue Italia, Essence, African vogue, etc

It’s never a dull moment when I’m surrounded by an atmosphere that allows me to be myself. I’m a goofy person in general and when I’m around my habitat I’m being myself.

Is there anything you would change about the modeling industry if you could?

I would bring all types of models, different cities and countries. I’m tired of seeing the same skin tone. White or really darkskinned. We need brown skinned girls.

I run track and dance, my nutrition consists of everything green, vegetables and fruit are my favorite and I indulge in plenty of protein and soy.

I have an awesome car walk, I do wonderful improvisation, and I can twerk pretty well for a skinny girl

Would you change anything about yourself (physical or otherwise) if you could?

I Would try to find my angles while taking pictures to see if modeling is as easy for guys or easier to see how easy men have it in photo shoots
