Interview with Jessica Beck — Professional Ballroom Dancer and Model

Jessica Beck is a 23-year old model residing in Pasadena, California.

How would you introduce yourself to our readers?

I was born in DeKalb County, Illinois, but I don’t consider myself from anywhere. I am an only child with not much family to speak of, but I have made some awesome friends in life that I consider family. I am a professional ballroom dancer – dancing is both my job and my hobby. I’ve also worked as a public speaker, and of course, a model.

Jessica Beck face closeupWhen, how and why did you first get involved in the modeling industry?

I started modeling at the age of 20 in June of 2012. I got started in the industry through Craigslist of all things, and because I needed some quick cash. I discovered I enjoyed it after my very first photoshoot, and have been modeling ever since.

What are your personal and professional goals? Where do you see yourself in five to ten years?

My personal and professional goals would be to have a lasting relationship that makes me better as a person, to open a dance studio here in Los Angeles, and to become a stable individual that people can come to for love, support, and advice.

In five to ten years I hope to be running a thriving dance studio, probably not modeling anymore, and becoming a better dancer every day.

How often are you modeling and what does it usually consist of?

I used to model every day. These days I model probably once a week on average. I mainly do glamour nude photoshoots.

Do you practice any sports and what do you typically eat? Please elaborate on the importance of nutrition and exercise in your life.

I go ballroom dancing nearly every night. I would like to say I eat healthy…I would like to, but I don’t. However, because of the extreme amount of exercise I do, I stay in shape anyway.

I’m sure if I didn’t dance all the time I would be very very unhealthy.

Jessica Beck in a riverWould you change anything about yourself?

Physically, I would absolutely love to be about 3 inches shorter. Oh yeah, and I have terrible feet.

Otherwise, I would like to be more self-disciplined, but I’ve gotten better about that over the last few years, and I think I will continue to improve as time goes by.

If you had only 24 hours left to live, what would you do?

If I had only 24 hours left to live, I would spend the day alone, just reflecting on my life. I’m afraid it’s not very interesting, but it’s the truth.

Interview with Penny Bennet

Penny Bennet is a 23-year old model residing in San Jose, California.

How would you introduce yourself to our readers?

I was born in Madrid, Spain. I grew up moving a lot, since dad was in the military. I have one younger sister. In regards to hobbies I like reading, knitting, playing with cats, making lists, and researching various things.

When, how and why did you first get involved in the modeling industry?

I first modeled when I was eight and living in Italy for United Colors of Benneton. I did not do much again until college when I decided I needed money.

What are your personal and professional goals? Where do you see yourself in five to ten years?

I had this problem for years of always having new goals, a new life path, and completely planning it out. It changed so often I have decided it is best to give up and see where life goes. I have some broad goals of more travel, owning a house, and having a decent retirement but that is pretty much it besides staying happy and healthy.

Penny Bennet toplessHow often are you modeling and what does it usually consist of?

It really depends a lot. I’ve had four shoots in a day before and I’ve had none for long periods of time. I wasn’t modeling too much in Jacksonville which is where I most recently was but much more in Dallas and since I have arrived in San Jose. Most shoots I do involve some nudity, some more artistic than others.

Please tell us about the best and/or worst experiences you’ve had so far in modeling.

Best- Developing a fondness for polaroids and vintagey stuff. When I get paid more. The more artistic shoots. When the vision of myself and the photographer work together or compliment each other. I also like it when photographer have cats where I am shooting because cats are the best.

Worst- photographers who ignore boundaries, spiders in my underwear, really bugs outside in all my stuff in general, a person bleeding on me, trying to get me to stay longer with no pay, when pay is hourly, and making me miss something else important because they were driving us places, unfortunately even many more.

Have you had anything funny, embarrassing or completely out of the ordinary happen during your modeling career?

Honestly, no, none of those that I can think of.

Is there anything you would change about the modeling industry if you could?

Ha. Um well I am a feminist, and not that sex-positive kind, so, everything. While enjoy modeling at times, if society worked the way I wanted it to I probably wouldn’t have the work.

Penny Bennet face closeupDo you practice any sports and what do you typically eat? Please elaborate on the importance of nutrition and exercise in your life.

No sports, growing up I did a little dance and gymnastics. I used to hate yoga but now I do that sometimes and stretch. I just moved to San Jose and my fiancee says we are going to go hiking every weekend so I guess that should be good for me. I am a vegetarian; in fact, I was born disliking meat, soo everything but meat. I love bread with butter and eat a decent bit of fruits and veggies. I also bake a lot and have sweets with pretty much every meal. For some reason that seems to make people mad but I think that is dumb.

Please share something people don’t know about you.

Well I guess most people in this realm of my work don’t know that I am smart. I graduated summa cum laude from high school and college and I was done with my BS and MA well before most my friends completed their bachelor degrees. I got into the top school in my field for grad school but decided to stay with my fiancee and sister at my same institution instead.

I also really enjoy artistic endeavors myself- drawing, sewing, and others.

Would you change anything about yourself?

Physically, hmm. I am five eight but kind of which I was five ten or even five eleven. I love feeling tall and towering above others which I guess I can at least still do in heels. It would also be cool if I had the ability to change my hair color, length, and more anytime without having to cut or dye or grow it. Otherwise, not giving up so easily when I am tired, bored, or struggle the tiniest bit.

Are you currently in a relationship? How would you describe your partner?

My fiancee is nice, easy going, carefree though a little temperamental at times, patient, artistic, almost as adventurous as me.

Interview with Miss Pestilence — Small town girl, Big Dream

Miss Pestilence is a 18-year old model residing in Hesperia, California.

How would you introduce yourself to our readers?

Well hello there everyone. I wanna introduce myself. I go by the name Miss Pestilence. I am a model from southern California and a go-go dancer. I was born in Orange County, lived in NorCo, CA, and then moved to Hesperia, CA from the age of 4 until present. I have two wonderful parents and a little sister who is really my big little sister as she grew much taller than me for being 5 years younger. I have a pet rat that is basically my child and also a very loving boyfriend with a crazy story behind our relationship.

I am passionate about body modifications and just standing out from the crowd. I’m passionate about music, art, photography, and modeling. I love to go-go dance and I love to attend music shows, raves, huge festivals, street fairs, and all the wonderful things like that. My professions include modeling and go-go dancing. For me these aren’t just a hobby, they aren’t just a job, but yet a lifestyle and I put 110%  into them. I put my heart and soul and every ounce of my energy into these. If I wasn’t doing these professions I don’t know where I would be or who I would be but it’s not something I would want to imagine.

Miss Pestilence walking on a streetWhen, how and why did you first get involved in the modeling industry?

Well years ago I found out what the company Suicide Girls was because I was given a sticker with their logo on it. So I looked them up. What I found out was they were a company based on redefining the meaning of beauty. It really inspired me because at the time I was 12 years old and dealing with way too many self esteem issues and other things such as that. I looked up to them and the Suicide Girls became my inspiration. So after a couple years, finally at 17 I was friends with a girl who’s sister was a photographer and wanted to do a photoshoot with me just for fun. So we did the shoot and I could not believe the girl in the pictures was really me. I had spent so long being down on myself and letting my personal demons prevent me from seeing who I was and who I had the potential to be. Shortly after that shoot, I submitted my photos to a website called Model Mayhem. It took a lot of networking but finally shortly after my 18th birthday I found a photographer and we met up in a local Starbucks.

In March of 2014, I finally got to do another photoshoot. At first I was nervous, but I am really good at hiding my fears at the moment. It was an amazingly freeing feeling that shooting gave me. I finally was able to believe in myself to the fullest and be myself again. I no longer had things dragging me down. Currently it is August 22, 2014 and that first photographer has taken me so far. I went from being a nobody to now a Suicide Girl Hopeful, signed to Wish Model Magazine, and constantly have people asking to shoot with me. I never knew I could come this far but now that I’ve gotten to where I am, there is no stopping me.

What are your personal and professional goals? Where do you see yourself in five to ten years?

My personal goals are to get to the point where I can start a charity for young girls who have been through violence, drug abuse, sexual abuse, self esteem issues, eating disorders, struggling with poverty and other issues as such. I dealt with a lot of those issues and I want to be able to stand tall and be a positive figure and an inspiration to the girls who want to give up. I want them to know there is a chance to turn your life around and to have hope. As far as my professional goals go, I want to be a model and promoter from clothing companies, bands, achieve well known status as a suicide girl, get many features in magazine, especially tattoo magazines, as well as become a go-go for the company insomniac and other large companies that throw Raves and other EDM events.

Miss Pestilence modeling a black mini skirtHow often are you modeling and what does it usually consist of?

I am now modeling anywhere from once a week to four times a week. A good majority of my modeling is anywhere from fully clothed to nude. Almost all of my photoshoots have been alternative modeling with the exception of a few shoots. I am looking to broaden my horizon in modeling and do other things as well. I do a little bit of everything. I still have yet to do anything such as video and walking down a runway. Sure does seem like fun though.

Please tell us about the best and/or worst experiences you’ve had so far in modeling.

Well obviously the best experience I’ve had was being able to find myself again. Modeling made me come out of my shell and was a remedy for a lot of things from my past. And I think the worst experience had to be at one photoshoot I was in a building and it was the middle of summer. It was so hot I was literally having to wipe the sweat off inbetween each shot. It was so gross.

Have you had anything funny, embarrassing or completely out of the ordinary happen during your modeling career?

I think the most extraordinary thing that has happened to me was some of my personal inspirations in modeling have actually contacted me and given me words of wisdom, advice, or just compliments. It really keeps me going. As well as all the people who messages me on a daily basis sending me messages about how I am their inspiration. Some of them literally bring me to tears because it is just so touching what they have to say.

Is there anything you would change about the modeling industry if you could?

Honestly I wish a lot of the higher up industry didn’t focus so much on being what is defined as “perfect for society”. A lot of the modeling industry doesn’t spread the message of loving the skin you’re in or being happy with who you are.

Miss Pestilence wearing a swimsuitDo you practice any sports and what do you typically eat? Please elaborate on the importance of nutrition and exercise in your life.

About the only thing I do is daily go-go practice at home or actual go-go dancing, and squats. And what I typically eat is usually dark green salads and lots of grilled chicken. My boyfriend is all into body building a being super healthy and whatnot so I kinda just eat whatever he makes. As cliche as it sounds, my favorite thing to eat is a salad of mostly crisp, fresh spinach and homemade ranch. Does not get better than that. I do have times where I eat the fast food and junk food but it’s all about moderation. You can still eat those chicken nuggets from McDonalds or that ice cream from Baskin Robbin’s as long as that’s not all you are eating. And exercise even if it is going on a daily walk. Being healthy doesn’t mean not getting to enjoy “tasty” food, it just means you are smart about what you eat and how much you eat of what. Don’t starve yourself either. It hurts your body more than it helps you.

Please share something people don’t know about you.

I think one thing a lot of people don’t know about me is that ever since I was a little girl I wanted to do ballet and I’ve always had this weird obsession with ballet.

Would you change anything about yourself?

Well obviously add on to my body modifications -more tattoos, piercings, and others- as well as consider getting a boob job. I’ve always thought about it but never been sure. After I started cheerleading my sophomore year of high school I lost a lot of weight which meant I went down a few sizes so ever since then it’s been something I have kind of been uncomfortable with.

What is the kinkiest thing you’ve ever done?

I think it would have to be when I was working -go-going- and decided to give my boyfriend a lap dance. When I came out to give it to him, I was wearing a french maid cosplay outfit. Boy did he love that lap dance.

Interview with Lynn

Lynn is a 21-year old model residing in Fremont, California.

How would you introduce yourself to our readers?

Born in Hayward, CA and raised in Fremont, CA. I don’t plan on staying in Fremont forever but I can definitely call it home. The Bay Area is my home. Ive been modeling for about 3 years now and have been working as an Esthetician for about a year. With that being said, I make time for freelance modeling whenever possible. I currently have my Facebook and Tumblr page under contruction but you can find me on Model Mayhem or check out my day to day life stuff and things on instagram.

When, how and why did you first get involved in the modeling industry?

I graduated from high school in 2011 and made that summer an experimental point in my life as I didn’t make a solid plan for myself beforehand. I underestimated my potential a lot in high school, over-thought thing and always questioned myself. So I made sure I got into modeling for the right reasons, because I knew I had every right to be confident in my creativity, and not to stengthen my confidence. I wanted to invest my time in creative outlets that appealed to me. I heard about Model Mayhem beforehand so I created a profile and have been creating images with great people since then.

Lynn nude sitting on a couchWhat are your personal and professional goals? Where do you see yourself in five to ten years?

In 10 years I want to gain the financial stability to support my parents. Some people work all of their lives which is fine if that’s what makes them happy but I want to make sure that my family can live comfortably without having to worry much about bills and deadlines. Not quite sure of the specifics when it comes to where I see myself in the future. I think I’ll see myself still learning, being happy, traveling, meeting and working with wonderful people. That’s all I would really want to work towards really is constant happiness. I see that as true success.

How often are you modeling and what does it usually consist of?

Aside from modeling, I work part time and focusing on getting my life in order financially all while making the most of my personal life. I make time for my modeling work whenever possible. At least a project a month. I miss planning a couple jobs a week. I’m currently trying to make more time for it. I primarily do photoshoots. I enjoy shooting artistic nudes, pinup, glamour, and just about any kickass idea. Im currently interested in body painting, different types of rope bondage and would like to do more video and acting work as well as work my way toward catalog work and publications.

Is there anything you would change about the modeling industry if you could?

Maybe if I could, I would like to give some people outside of the industry a different outlook on nudity modeling and nude photography. I could go on and on about it but I just wish it wasn’t seen in such a bad light. It’s not a pressing issue for me though because I remain proud of the people I work with and what we create.

What I also think could use some improvement is the communication through networking sites. Some people like to keep the entire project planning process through messaging on those sites and the way I see it, it’s less time consuming to give each other a call, text or even email. Meeting in person beforehand is even better. That is if each collaborator’s schedules don’t conflict with each other. That way you get a feel of who you’re working for and a better understanding of the project and vision.

I wouldn’t say all but some people I’ve worked with in the past have treated me like I was just a cute face with no brain. Or they assume I’m just going to “sit there and look pretty”. I like to have fun during shoots, yes, but I have a brain and I put thought into my work.

There is still so much for me to soak up and learn about the industry before I really look at the big picture and view the pros and cons.

Lynn wearing underwearDo you practice any sports and what do you typically eat? Please elaborate on the importance of nutrition and exercise in your life.

I wouldn’t say I’m a very sporty person. I occasionally go for a jog, I do a lot of walking and am no stranger to dancing my little heart out at music events and live shows. Im making more time for myself to do some stretching in the morning and night. I would like to make more time to practice yoga and meditation. As for food, I don’t do diets but I like to control my portions and I like to avoid greasy food, fast food -not including my every now and then taco bell feast- and soda. I like trying new things. I eat Thai, Vietnemese, Japanese, Mexican, Italian, and others. When I eat lousy, I feel lousy. I like to avoid that. Though I’m only human and I’m having this disgustingly beautiful affair with milk tea and bagels with generous amounts of cream cheese.

Please share something people don’t know about you.

Hmmmm let’s see.. I’m 21, a lefty, and once got in trouble in high school for putting tweezers in an electrical socket in my science class. My teacher wasn’t too happy. My dad laughed when he called. We all laughed eventually.

Would you change anything about yourself?

I think it’s safe to say I’m comfortable in my skin. I don’t count piercing and tattoos as a change. Simply a way of showing who I am. My physical traits are just a minor part of me. Bad habits are certainly things I would like to work on. I thrive on procrastination and am I bit of a stress freak. Great combination, I know. It’s all a work in progress but definitely worth knowing that there can be a better me moving forward.

What is your favorite thing to do alone?

When I’m alone, I like to blare my music, drink wine and clean.

Interview with Alisyn Carliene – Mom and glamour model

Alisyn Carliene is a 24 year old native to San Bernardino, CA and has been a model for 10 years. She has worked with hundreds of photographers in Southern California throughout her modeling experience and through this she has gained an impeccable reputation. But it’s not all work, no play! She is also a stripper here at a local club and a mommy to a 9 month old son who keeps her on her toes.

Do you have a nickname or artist pseudonym? Who came up with it and how?

I get called lots of different things such as AC or ALI. It just sticks and depends on how the person has known me I suppose.

Alisyn Carliene - Modeling in corsetWhen, how and why did you first get involved in the modeling industry?

It’s a funny story actually. My grandma was a model back in her day and always inspired me to have it as one of my aspirations early on in childhood. I started working at a regional park at 14 and they would have group shoots out there but I was always working. I finally got the balls to ask the photographers if I could partake when I finished my shift and to my surprise, they said yes! I modeled as sexy as I could for that age until I turned 18, then I took baby steps into nudity; implied, topless, nude, more erotic etc. I’ve stayed in the industry this long surprisingly and I’ve loved every minute of it!

What are your personal and professional goals? Where do you see yourself in five to ten years?

I will be graduating with my bachelors in anthropology June of 2015. Ideally I would like to quit stripping and get a job to hold me over while pursuing my PHD or masters degree. I see myself financially taking care of my son doing my other love, which is examining human remains. Not sure where my modeling career will take me but bring it on!

How much do you typically charge for a photo-shoot?

It depends on what you want. I typically charge anywhere from $50-$150 an hour but I’m very negotiable dependent on where I’m traveling to, and what we are doing and how long.

Please tell us about the best and/or worst experiences you’ve had so far in modeling.

I have had many good experiences! I cannot narrow it down to just one! With that said, unfortunately I have had my share of bad experiences. Amongst them I distinctively remember a photographer that took his pants off during the shoot, a photographer that tried to finger me while doing a spread leg session and a photographer that kept trying to convince me to sleep with him on camera for $150. Being in this industry, sex sells. I get that but I’m a prostitute for the eyes… Meaning I only sell my body to look at, not touch or play with. But hey, some of these men have big balls asking anyway!

Have you had anything funny, embarrassing or completely out of the ordinary happen during your modeling career?

A lot out of the ordinary! But with that said I’m so fortunate. Where else could I say I rode a bull and didn’t fall off, was a ring girl, was in a movie with a UFC fighter, shot on a horse ranch, did fantasy wrestling with a bunch of hot girls, did a pillow fight, partook in plenty of charity events, (the list can go on!) without modeling, I would never have the confidence and charisma I’ve gained from the exposure. I strongly believe in being humble and stand humble 99% of the time smile but yes I have had my share of embarrassing moments. One of which is I farted during a video. Yes, females fart too but pixie dust comes out and it smells like roses.

Alisyn Carliene - Naked in bootsIs there anything you would change about the modeling industry if you could?

The standard weights and heights. I’ve always been too short for fashion and that would’ve been my first choice. Glamour modeling came because I can do it with my stats. When I started I was 108 lbs and really had no assets. Now I’m about 30 pounds heavier but I’ve never had so much paid work! I think the industry in that aspect is getting more accepting of “curvy” women.

Do you practice any sports and what do you typically eat? Please elaborate on the importance of nutrition and exercise in your life.

I don’t do sports but I do dance nightly at a club. So I like to think I get some sort of exercise. I’m also active keeping up with my 9 month old who’s crawling around. Nutrition is important because I’m breastfeeding. I like spinach in everything.. It’s my secret! I’m still working on re gaining the physique I had before but it’s a work in progress and for just having a baby, I can’t complain.

Please share something people don’t know about you.

I study death but I’m very scared of death. Oh, the irony!

Would you change anything about yourself (physical or otherwise) if you could?

I hate my short torso. I would elongate it. Then I would be much happier with myself. I also hate my almost non-existent chin. I think I look like a muppet, but you know… We are our own worst critics, and we have to accept the good with the bad.

Interview with Wenchi – Model and Artist

Wenchi is a 24-year old model residing in Santa Rosa (California) with a passion for art. She has been doing runway, print, and promotional modeling since 2007. Here is her story:

How would you introduce yourself to our readers?

Hi folks! I’m Wenchi, a Fine Art, Fashion, Fantasy chameleon model out of the San Francisco Bay Area. I’ve been modeling since 2007, and have been self represented and managed the entire time. I’m also a makeup artist, and love participating in conceptual shoots, fetish fashion, alternative nudes, and getting nekkid in nature. I tend to be into darker more sensual work, and that’s expressed pretty well in my portfolio.

Do you have a nickname or artist pseudonym? Who came up with it and how?

My pseudonym is Wenchi, and in 2003 it’s root was bestowed upon me. My two best friends, Jessica and Amanda Shepherd who has also become a stellar model, would be little punk brats causing a ruckus around town, and we called ourselves The MOFOs and Wench. Amanda named me Wench, because I was acting particularly saucy that day, and the nickname has stuck around since then. In 2007 when I was getting into modeling, I had to figure out a pseudonym to keep my modeling work separate from some other aspects in my life. I was really into the “Suicide Girls look” which I found very alternative and really alluring, so being the alt girl I was, Wench seemed very fitting. I didn’t think it was quite socially acceptable enough alone, so I added an “i” on the end to make it cute and foreign sounding.

Wenchi - Amazing bodypaintWhen, how and why did you first get involved in the modeling industry?

I was helping a friend in May 2007 with her high school senior project, and as she was making a fairytale fashion line for her submission she decided to do a fashion show to show off her hard work. I helped with makeup for the show, and modeled one of her gowns. I was an aspiring makeup artist at the time, and modeling had interested me in a way nothing had before, so I went for it and this is where I’m at now!

What are your personal and professional goals? Where do you see yourself in five to ten years?

I’d like to get to a point where I can live in whichever city I like and be comfortable and secure. I’d like to see myself traveling the world, participating in humanistic volunteer work, and getting to participate in work that shows in national museums, large magazines and possibly on television. I’m very interested in science, and nature preservation, and if there is a way to figure out how to tie what I do now into both of those things, I’ll be very satisfied. I’m very interested in traveling, and am looking into how I can find creative ways to tie that into my modeling, and get to experience new cultures and find inspiration in their practices.

How much do you typically charge for a photo-shoot?

For Fashion work I charge $75/hr with discounts on multiple day, full day and half day rates. For Nude work I charge between $100 and $150 per hour depending on content, and also have discounts on multiple day, full day and half day rates. If you’re interested in booking me, shoot me your ideas and we’ll make something work!

Wenchi - YellowBubblesPlease tell us about the best and/or worst experiences you’ve had so far in modeling.

Recently, I woke up to about 50 facebook notifications, and messages from my team that we had been chosen for the cover of Central California Magazine for our underwater photoshoot featuring Yellow Bubbles Photography, Black Lotus Clothing, and Spoiled Cherry makeup and styling. We had shot on Christmas Eve, and while it was a beautiful 70 degree day, the pool we were told was heated…wasn’t. It was a whole ten degrees cooler than the air outside, and was the most surreal photoshoot in my life. I nearly got hypothermia, and felt high from the shock my body was going through to make our beautiful artwork happen. We decided as a team to keep going even with the non heated pool surprise, and it worked out so well that we got cover on an awesome magazine!

In June, I got heat stroke working SubZERO Festival for Black Lotus Clothing. I was staying well hydrated and fed, but our building we were working in to get ready was sweltering hot, and had no ventilation. While getting sewn into a priceless bone and pearl encrusted gown, I passed out while standing there. Thankfully I’ve dealt with these symptoms before, and knew to throw myself onto a bar stool as I was falling over so I wouldn’t break the amazing gown I was getting sewn into. I was quickly rushed outside, as I was gagging from the nausea of passing out. My stomach voided itself, but I was in fresh air and had a way to sit down, and get my senses back. I promptly ate 3 bowls of chili, drank a glass of wine, 3 glasses of water, and proceeded to wow the crowd for the festival evening in a group of amazing models in a rad cabin wreckage themed installation. Thankfully I recovered well and was able to get my job done regardless of dealing with some heat stroke.

Have you had anything funny, embarrassing or completely out of the ordinary happen during your modeling career?

When I was working in Los Angeles this past winter, I was fired from a national television TV show (who’s name I cannot disclose) for being allergic to latex. I had been requested to work for the show for the whole series (a month of filming), but after reviewing my forms on the first day of work, they decided to let me go that day. I had gone to LA for the audition, and we discussed my allergy there at that time, they said it would be no issue, and then they went back on their word. I was somewhat stranded work wise in LA, but got ahold of some friends who helped me find work. Instead of working for this TV show, I got to bodypaint with Trina Merry at The Edwardian Ball at The Fonda Theatre, I got assist Trina Merry in painting for a NERF commercial thats on TV right now, and I got to get bodypainted by the world famous Pashur and Alex Hansen. My fury from being fired and huge embarrassment over my allergy got turned into some really rad creative energy!

Wenchi - Amazingly flexibleIs there anything you would change about the modeling industry if you could?

I would make San Francisco a much more popular place for industry work, like LA or New York, as I live here and selfishly don’t want to move to get all the work I want 😉

Do you practice any sports and what do you typically eat? Please elaborate on the importance of nutrition and exercise in your life.

I’ve been “vegetarian” since 2003. I say “vegetarian” because I have very high standards for the poultry and mammals I consume, as I wont eat it unless someone I know killed it. I feel like I have no right to eat meat that was killed outside of my community, because closeness with food is like closeness to god. Besides my addiction to gummy bears, worms, rings and other gummy candies, I try to eat food that’s without pesticides and GMOs. For exercise I like to go mountain hiking, bicycle riding, yoga, swimming in the Russian River, and having a great sex life with my boyfriend. Keeping my exercise well rounded and diverse helps me feel the most healthy.

Please share something people don’t know about you.

I had my first lesbian sex at church camp. This is literally the only thing I could think of that people don’t really know about me, this was a hard question!!

Would you change anything about yourself (physical or otherwise) if you could?

I wouldn’t mind being taller and having some more weight on my bones, but I think that things really worked out well in my favor physically 😀
